ShoemoneyJeremy Schoemaker aka ShoeMoney, even though he is considered a leader in the affiliate marketing world, is just a regular guy, earning his way through life by being creative, well out in front of the cutting edge, and willing to take chances in order to succeed! You just gotta admire someone willing to take chances right?

The Shoemoney blog about making money online is on my short list of MUST VISIT blogs every day! The often entertaining insight Jeremy and his guest bloggers write about is not only informative and helpful in my own niche marketing goals, it is a true sign of hope for anyone trying to get going in the business of affiliate marketing and earning a very good living online!

As many of you know, one of my February Goals, is to get Jeremy to let me redesign and optimize the example store he created in his post about Build a Niche Store. Ultimately, with the depth of his reader base, it will benefit all of those that followed his advice and took the leap into building niche stores from his advice. :-)

10 Ways to get Shoemoney to Answer your Question:

  1. Make Sure you Spell his name Right!
Back on November 8th 2007, Jeremy wrote a post the 10 reasons he will delete your email. #2 explains that spelling his name wrong is definitely a bad approach when you want to get his attention! Delete…
  2. Explain the benefits of why your offer is good for Shoemoney and most importantly, his readers!
It’s best to realize that Jeremy is likely to be a very busy man these days! With the Elite Retreat right around the corner, surely he doesn’t have time to answer every question or comment posted on his blog. Be sure you get to the point early and explain in detail, how your offer will benefit one of his most valued assets, the Shoemoney reader base!
  3. Write a Linkworthy post title that will be sent to Shoemoney from another reader!
More commonly known as LinkBait, its the art of writing a post title that will encourage your readers and many others to link to it! The more people you get to link to your post, the more popular it will become in a short amount of time! Making it up the charts in a place like Stumbleupon or Digg, will surely get the attention of Jeremy!
  4. Compliment or Thank Jeremy for the insight you have gotten from following along his blog!
Don’t just write a general thank you message. Take the time to actually refer to a few of his specific posts, and explain how they helped you, what you may have learned, and if possible, the results you have achieved since following the advice!
  5. Make sure you are one of the first 5 to respond on his blog posts!
Its a fact of blogging… after a few days, the subject gets old and moves down the page quickly! Most successful bloggers like Jeremy have so much going on that they simply don’t have time to go back through the previous weeks posts and answer all the questions or comments posted to a subject. If you want to be noticed, subscribe to the Shoemoney rss feed by both email AND in your feed reader! This way, as quickly as he writes a post, it is delivered to you! If the post means something to you after you read it, being one of the first to post a comment will increase your chances of getting a reply!
  6. When you DO COMMENT on his Posts – Don’t use Spammy words in the name Field!
Even though we all try to get a little love by exploiting another blogs’ reader base, it is a sure way of getting your post deleted instantly! When you meet someone for the first time, they generally won’t introduce themselves as “Hi – I’m Niche Marketing Tips” or “Hi – I’m Buy Percoset Cheap”… Use your own name and be a real person! After all, that is what you want, a social friendship with the person, not a quick one-time exploit!
  7. Don’t just Talk the Talk – Walk the Walk! Encourage your OWN readers to read his insight!
Thats right – if your own blog readers are in the same vertical niche as Shoemoney and want to Make Money Online, encourage them to sign up for his feed also! After all, if it’s beneficial to his readers to hear what you have to say, it must also be true for the opposite! Including a link to his blog in your blogroll never hurts!
  8. Don’t Expect an answer Immediately and Dont Stalk Shoemoney!
Emailing 10 times a day is not only a waste his time, but will likely get your email address placed into his spam blacklist! Be very considerate of just how busy he is and where your request falls in his list of priorities! Chances are, if you have been reading his blog regularly, you know just how many things Shoemoney has going on both personally and in his business world. Making him filter through 10 identical emails every day will make him forget you quicker!
  9. Make Sure he has Not Already Answered You!
We all do it… we comment on a post and rarely get back to read the replies! Before you go about asking Jeremy for a personal response to your question, make sure he did not already answer you in the form of a comment in the original post! I often open my pantry at home and ask my wife: “Do we have any Chips?” or “Where are the Granola Bars?” only to find them myself after actually moving the first thing in front of me! Search first, ask the question ONLY when you are sure the answer was not already in front of you!
  10. Ask your Own Readers to Digg, Stumble, and Promote your Post Immediately!
If you have already posted a comment, sent an email, and just want to be creative about getting his attention, ask… no, BEG your readers to Digg and Stumble your post to get it in front of his readers or even Jeremy himself!

Where do you go from here? Now that you have a promising way of getting Jeremy to at least hear you, you better be prepared to talk with Jeremy and deliver what you promise! If he does want to roll with your offer… you better be prepared for Shoemoney Effect!

  • Have your question or value statement for Jeremy prepared in advance and be confident about why you think he should even consider it! There is nothing worse than getting a phone call and drawing a blank!
  • If you run a blog, make sure you have a way to cache your wordpress site! The effect of many visitors in a short amount of time may just crash your host account!

Well… there ya go! BTW… would anyone care to Digg or Stumble this post? :-)
