Niche Directory Cloud Reminder
January 10, 2008 | 2 Comments
It’s been a few busy days for sure! I flew back home again on Tuesday and spent several hours in the airport reading the new PC World magazine that offered the opinions of many technology industry leaders (Bill Gates, Michael Dell etc) on what the next 25 years would bring in the world of technology. I can’t find the article online, but if you find yourself stuck in an airport, pick up the January edition… it led me to register a few more domain names (my favorite pastime lately)
Today will be the last day for everyone to get into the niche directory cloud before I convert it from a free listing to a paid listing. In all likelihood, I am going to use the directory not as a paid directory, but a place to list projects I am working on. I will leave the price attached to the listings though in order to prevent it from having 501 links in less than a month! :-)
There are several terms that some of you grabbed but did not complete the process… thus they did not list. If you go back in and relist today, just be sure to let the entire paypal page load onto your screen before closing it out, that way the entry is saved into the database. Thanks to everyone who went back and resubmitted… I have the bugs worked out now!
Terms not saved that need to be resubmitted:

I have also decided on the best way to get it incorporated into a BANS site and will be completing the MOD before the weekend. I have two people who are going to help me test it on their own sites to be sure the instructions are easy enough to follow. I will also be adding it as a service to the services page as soon as I reactivate that section of the website.
Over the past week, I have had more than 200 emails come in from the readers of this blog and the BANS forum, sending sympathies and well wishes for my Father. I wish I had time right now, to thank every single person personally and let you all know just how much it helps me to know people I have never met, care enough to send their thoughts. I just want to say a sincere thank you again… it keeps me going!

Niche Store Menu Optimization - Hour 2
January 6, 2008 | 2 Comments
Well… in just one day of posting an inbound link from a couple of highly indexed sites, the Cobra Mustang site saw 4 additional search spiders come in overnight, 2 were listed as unidentified bots, Yahoo and Alexa were identified. So, now that I have started the main categories, where do I go next?
First let me reiterate one of my main goals for ALL websites, not just this one or any other BANS site. I want to do as much as I can each day for the first week, in 1 hour a day or less. Set yourself a target of 1 hour a dayfor a new site… when that hour is reached, move on to a different project and don’t come back until tomorrow! :-) I have a limit of about 1-2 hours before I start getting bored with what I am doing and the quality of the work degrades and becomes a task. Think about it… during that first hour, you are excited and enthusiastic about what you are doing and the quality of your titles, keywords and descriptions are much better! During the second hour, your main goal is not to do quality work, but to get done! It is during this time that you start to do alot more copy/pasting, and just changing a few words here and there. (OK, Maybe it’s just me?)
It may not work the same for others, but it’s definitely that way for me! Let’s read on… Read more

Optimize your Main Niche Store Category Menu in 1 hour!

Hi All -
It’s a Saturday afternoon and I’m bored while waiting for the playoff football games. Whats a person to do except try to help anyone who may be having a hard time optimizing the default Build a Niche Store category tree! I apologize if I skimmed over it all too quickly during the Build a Niche Store Process series and these next few posts will be very specifically focused on how to take your category tree from the most basic BANS setup into what you REALLY want for your niche store, a unique and relevant structure based on what people are looking for.

Links and Resource Cloud MOD in the Works!
January 3, 2008 | 3 Comments
Hi Everyone -
Well… as my luck would have it, I loaded up the car (02 Mercury Mountaineer) this morning, kissed the wife goodbye, heck, I even kissed the dogs! I get out to the driveway and go to get into the car… dead battery! OK, not a big deal, I will just jump start it and get on my way, after all, I have not driven this truck in about 2 weeks and its perfectly normal for the battery to struggle on a cold morning. I got it jumped pretty easily, but the battery would not charge… To make it more fun, one of the belt pulleys on the engine was bad and screaming at me to replace it. SO, I run to the parts store and grab a new battery and pulley, replace them real quick and it is still early enough to jump in and start the 11 hour drive to Massachusetts… wrong. The power seat on the drivers side won’t adjust. Since my wife drove it last, the seat was parked as far to the front as it could go… she is only 5′1 (5 feet, 1.75 inches, if you ask her) and I doubt I can squeeze my 6′2 body into the tight space. So, here I am… 4 hours later and not 1 mile closer to Mass. Eventually, I just unbolted the drivers seat from the floor, adjusted it to fit me and I will leave VERY early in the AM to make the trip.
Did I mention this is my fathers truck? I drove it home a few weeks ago so I did’nt have to fly here and ship one of my PC’s UPS. (They have a habit of damaging things)
OK - Enough of my sob story, Lets talk about the link cloud MOD… Read more

Niche Site Directory - Get your site listed Today!

Hello Everyone and Happy New Year!
Not much has changed in respect to the situation with my fathers health. His health has gone from bad to worse and we are just trying to pull together as a family and surround him with love and care during these last days. I came home just before Christmas to be with my wife and children (7 of them kids running around) through the holiday. Tomorrow, I will be heading back to Massachusetts and staying as long as needed. The break was definitely needed…
So… what has 2008 got in store for the Niche Store Builder and all I have lost complete touch with? First, I’ve not been completely out of service… just somewhat slowed down to a crawl. I have found a great little link cloud application (Freebie) that allows visitors to post one-way links from your site to theirs. The catch… they have to contribute a small fee to get that one way link! Not you though… since you are member of this blog - it is free to you for the next 8 days!
Here is how it works - and the benefit to you! Read more
