Articles for February 2008
Hi All -
As I was scanning sites again tonight, I actually saw a PR update going on as I browsed! (www.getaracecar.com from PR2-PR3 tonight, along with several other site changes)
Sites that were PR1 10 minutes ago… are increasing and changing as the night progresses!
Check your own sites… see if there are any changes.

Here are my stats. I don’t know what they mean or how I got them spidered.

Wow – am I falling behind or what? Actually… the answer is a big NO! I wanted to slow down a little… and give you all a bit more time to get your stores running! OK, we know that’s just plain BS… I fell behind! :-)
So… What DID I do for the past couple days? First and foremost, I took my second siteto the point that it is done for a week or two as the indexing begins! I don’t know how many of you sat through the 41 minute …
Well, I’ve jumped all over the place this week because I get bored doing too much of one thing – I haven’t concentrated on one site at a time (like Mark said to do) OOPS! But…I have put up 7 sites this week with main categories and pages, keywords, etc. I have not put much work into the content or articles – that is one of my goals today.

2/21/08 – Domain purchased
2/25/08 – Googlebot came a-callin’ (best I can figure is that setting up a Google Alert, per Rochelle’s recommendation, was the cause of this because I had done no link-building at that point)

OK… Kind of a weird post title, but you will learn it was for good reason.
In general, I watch very little TV… I mean, I will catch a bit of news or anything that has to do with building something (Modern Marvels, etc) BUT… there are two things I generally wont miss. Sunday afternoon football or NASCAR (for the 4 hour Sunday nap), AND for some reason, I actually like American Idol! Yup.. 42 years old, and I absolutely get into seeing what may be our future Pop Stars.
I am NOT a touchy-feely kind …
The title is somewhat misleading, it should say… “Watch ME add a New Niche Store in an Hour!” :-) Really, the video is 41 minutes long… I take it from looking into my kitchen last week and thinking of a niche, to the store being active in a very broad niche! This site is going to be one of the unique ones you want to watch from start to finish!
Comments ALWAYS welcome!

I learned a lesson though… when it is suggested that you protect your Wordpress install by closing all security loopholes, listen! If you run a wordpress blog, visit Matt Cutts (GoogleGuy) blog and read his post about the best way secure your blog.
I spent all day Saturday recording a video of installing a new Build a Niche Store site from scratch! OK, by scratch, I mean… you …
