A Public Declaration of Appreciation for Mark

I want to take a moment and thank Mark for all that he has done and is doing, and not just for this 12-week series.

Mark has helped me on many occassions.  He has helped me here on his blog, on the BANS forum, and in emails.  I know I am just one of many that he has helped.

So, here it is:

Mark, thank you for all the time and effort you put into helping other people, including myself, in understanding and getting the most out of BANS and all the other things you help with.  It is very much appreciated.

For the first time since starting BANS (in August,  2007) I don’t feel confused in the process.  Working your series is helping put organization to the process of creating niche stores.

This may not sound like much but believe me, it is for me.  You saw the picture of my desk.  That is pretty much an outward example of how my mind thinks.  It’s very jumbled in how it approaches tasks (drives my husband nuts!).  Your series is helping me cut through the chaos of my thinking and actually be productive.  You are also forcing me to do things I’ve put off, such as generating backlinks.

From the bottom of my heart I thank you.

Rochelle

    Hear Hear!!

Mark has been an indespesable resource now and in the past with his initial series, his contributions keep getting better and better. I would still be fumbling around with my first site if it wasn’t for his help, all of his building ideas, SEO tips and now the video series has helped me develop a process to get a site up and running with mods in about 4 hours! He makes it seem so easy and practice proves that!

    Thank you Mark!

I third that! Huge props to Mark on this series. The information here…and for the next 10 weeks…is worth more than the price of the BANS software…IMO

You know, keeping organized is one of the hardest things about BANS once you’ve got the basics of installation down. I’m with ya Rochelle. How can we keep better track of things?

Eric – This may not be exactly what you are looking for but for me, I wrote down the steps I take when creating a new store. I don’t know if it will help you but you can see it at http://www.nichestorestrategies.com/how-i-create-a-new-niche-store/

I’m big on lists as they help keep me focused. At some point I will write a similar list about the steps I take to promote my sites but I’ll probably wait until this series is down. There’s a good chance I will learn some methods that I can put in the list.

    Hi Rochelle -

A huge “Thank You” for the post! Back in the day when I was first cutting my teeth in web design and internet marketing, it was the very early stages of the internet… Yup, Old at 42!

Well… there was really nobody who was sharing specific tips, knowledge, NOTHING… OK, webmonkey was around, but that was it! It was learn as you go… trial by fire… even technical schools did not have alot of info on the internet at that time.

One thing for sure… I appreciate all of YOU just as much! It lets me share a bit of knowledge I have and help others.

Thanks again, I guess I better get back to work! :-)

    Rochelle,

I was thinking more along the lines of keeping promotional sites/strategies more organized. Like, sometimes I can’t remember which directories I’ve already submitted to….and I know I should be keeping track, but it’s just not something I do like I should!

I’ve actually started a running list of QUALITY sites that I submit my sites to…whether they’re directories, social bookmarking, article sites…whatever. I’m compiling a list as we speak, so maybe I can share it later on!

Eric – Oh, my goodness! I never even thought about keeping track of things such as you described. Please do share your method when you get a chance. For those of us who plan on having a BANS empire keeping track will be a must!

    Hi Mark,

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with all of us.

Your writing and help is the push I need to make this work.

Thanks also to Rochelle, who’s detailed explanations have saved me more than once.

I want to add my thank you to Mark. I’m following along in the series and learn something new everyday. I started with BANs in November and immediately subscribed to your blog because of all the step by step, easy to follow information.

This Build an Empire series shouldn’t be free, but I’m glad it is. Thanks Mark – and everyone else who is sharing.

I have only been surfing this site for a couple of weeks, but I have learned more about internet marketing in general from this one site, than the 500 other sites I have passed through over the last 3 months..

I am getting ready to launch my first of several campaigns using bans, and it is nice to know there is a site out there… with great people like mark, rochelle, eric…

this site is a gem… and the community is what makes it so fruitful…

    to success in 2008!

I just wanna throw my thank you in the soup too! Mark doesn’t know it, but he was a big help to me in the forum, even before I discovered he had this helpful site.

Mark’s showing us something few seem to even have, never mind showing; a marketer with an unselfish side.

    Thank you Mark!

Wow! I totally agree with all the above. I purchased BANS in the fall of 2007, started a site and then stopped because of newbie aggravations. Now that I’ve come across Mark’s site here and his easy to understand teachings, I’ve got 4 sites up and under construction. I still have a lot to learn but now I feel I can do this!
    Thanks Mark!

    With much appreciation,
    Jamie

    Hello

I’m a total newbie and have been following your series Mark, with awe and gratitude and a newfound enthusiasm – I had no clue about H1, metathingamajigs, forums, posting, robots, ect. and even though I was overwhelmed most times, it kept me glued to my chair with hand on mouse, clicking away and attempting the processes.

I’ve gone back and reread articles and rewatched the amazing videos – visual works real well for me and am learning so much. I had no concept previously, and didn’t realize all the processes that were needed to make this a success.

Thank you very much Mark for sharing your knowledge and giving the access to something I would not have pursued previously . .thinking that it would not be a profitable venture.
