The Niche Store Builder, aka Mark Hansen,  is dedicated to providing site building tips, design, and Internet Marketing services around various  applications and methods of developing niche websites of almost any type.

I have been involved in website development since I established my own design firm in 1997. Growing the business part time for the next 8 years, I honed my skills developing static, e-commerce and CMS driven websites for local businesses in the Charlotte NC area. Along the way, I developed a strong working knowledge of Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization  strategies, specifically focused on driving high quality traffic to just about every venture imaginable!

To date, I have fully developed or worked on more than 200 projects in one fashion or another!

During the time I was developing my craft, I held a Management position at a fortune 500 technology company focused on product sales and distribution through the retail sales channel. This experience of team management, local demand generation and using the Internet as a sales tool, was merged seamlessly. In early 2001 the business closed all retail operations and the decision was made to develop the website design and integration business to its fullest!

Several years after the initial move, the passion to help others learn has never waned and a personal blog, The kids College Fund was developed as a central location where I could actively discuss our own efforts to monetize our domain portfolio. I became so engulfed in the power, flexibility and performance of many “Off the Shelf” content management systems, that it soon overwhelmed the original purpose of the KCF site… and the Niche Store Builder was born.

I have often been overheard taking ownership of all my projects and warn prospective clients that when I am contracted to do their project, it would become one of my own. There would be no… “Your Site Needs…” instead, it is always “Our Site Needs…” That dedication to individual  and team success is hard to find today!

This site is not all about selling services around great products, it’s geared to helping individuals learn the needed skills to succeed in a very competitive market. You will find many areas of this site that are full of tips and tutorials on Niche Marketing for your site. However, I also realize that there are some folks who prefer to just have it now, with no desire to learn the ins and outs of code or developing a site on their own. For those visitors, I offer a full range of services to compliment the free information.
