Interesting. I hope this bodes well for Amazon as an affiliate program. By that, I mean that I hope they aren't going to do a 180, ala eBay.

Like so many here, I don't use blogger. I agree with Mark. I'd rather have a piece of cyberspace that own and don't have to worry about being taken away from me on a whim.

I love it. As eBay continues to get stingy and alienate more and more affiliates, Amazon is continuing to open up and drive even more traffic to them by being more affiliate friendly.

The crazies are in charge at eBay that's for sure.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('17402','billf','I love it.
@ Dave - Actually, the links will probably be fed through a script and route through Googles' own tracking mechanism first. Probably nofollowed, although Amazon needs no link relevance! :-O

@ Tao - Been there and tried that as well... I just dislike building ANYTHING on real estate I don't own!

Building a site in blogspot is like building a mansion on a rented piece of ground. If the ground owner decides to sell it to someone else, your mansion is worthless. I do see it working for many people, it's just not for me.

Here-here Mike... Agree completely!

Great deal for Amazon and Google I'd say. Isn't it interesting though that to Amazon a click is a click and a sale a sale? They don't worry about quality of traffic, quality of site etc. And to me that makes sense. If I make a sale do I really care where the traffic came from? Nope. Any legitimate sales are gratefully received and so what if they buy a different product. Amazon unlike eBay seem to like affiliates. eBay take note.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('17399','Mike','Great deal for Amazon and Google I\'d say.
And I bet it will give Amazon a boost in the search engines (not that they need it), I very much doubt the text links will contain a nofollow.

They could eliminate even more competition with this as many bloggers begin to use it.
Reply - Quote
