Hi all,
Version 3 of BANS is now available but I suggest you read what I wrote at Mods that will require redoing after updating to v3 of BANS before you update your sites. Doing so may save you aggravation.

If you took the time to watch Mark’s 41-minute video about installing and creating a broad-niche BANS store then you may have picked up how he copied a folder with BANS folders and files in it and pasted it in his new site. This is an incredible idea and a huge time-saver, especially if you plan on building a lot of BANS sites.
If you would like detailed instructions on how to accomplish this I wrote some you can read.

I want to take a moment and thank Mark for all that he has done and is doing, and not just for this 12-week series.
Mark has helped me on many occassions.  He has helped me here on his blog, on the BANS forum, and in emails.  I know I am just one of many that he has helped.
So, here it is:
Mark, thank you for all the time and effort you put into helping other people, including myself, in understanding and getting the most out of BANS and all the other …

I am just about done getting my 10 links per store for last week’s homework. I think for me the easiest way to achieve this will be to focus a single method on each site for each 10-link batch.
That may not make much sense right now because most people are probably still on their first sites or just getting their second sites up but by the end of this series we will have at least 12 sites and need to get 10 links per site, per week. By the 12th …

When you create a store page you will want to enter as many possible spellings for that page’s item as you can think of. This is important because you want to show as many results as you can get from eBay for every item you promote.
As you enter words and terms into the search box think of abbreviations, misspellings, and more.
For example, let’s say you are creating a page for sand dollars. Here are some possible variations that you can enter into the search box:

sand dol*
sanddol*
sandol*
sand-dol*
sand-$
sand $
sand$

You may wonder why …

What we are doing right now (building our categories) is really hard for me. I don’t know why, exactly, but perhaps my being an over-thinker works against me at such times. Plus, when I use an eBay category structure I tend to like it at first and later (usually after pages have already been indexed) I change my mind and revise the categories.
For this series I am creating stores with URLs I purchased specifically for BANS. (And I will admit up front that I purchased the URLs before I knew …

As Eric stated in a previous post, Content is King. This is true and something that I’ve been rather bad about adding to my sites. There is another way to add content to your sites that has been briefly mentioned but I’m going to expand on. You can use Private Label Rights, also known as PLR, articles.
PLR articles are articles that you can use any way you want. You can leave them as they are (which you shouldn’t, but more on that in a moment) and add them to your …

How do we find niches? What a great question.
For me, an idea will pop into my head at any time for a possible niche store. I keep a spreadsheet with ideas I’ve thought of. But my ideas will start out being written where ever I can find something to write on.
I’m including pictures of my desk. Yes, it’s a total mess (for the life of me I can’t get this one part of my house tidy – almost everywhere else I am very organized but not my computer room):

This is …
