BANS WordPress Template for WP_Premium

template1.gifI tossed this together pretty quickly today, so don’t be surprised if we find a thing or two during your integration of this BANS WordPress theme.

I have however chosen just to let you all have it so you can go back and watch that 22 minute long video from the WordPress and BANS integration series and see exactly how I split the files.

Before you can use this theme, you MUST have the Free WP_Premium Theme. After you have it, you can download the rest of the BANS_WP_Premium theme files here.

Install directions are included at this link.

Click here to see an example of the theme in action.

As always, donations are accepted via the Buy me a Beer link in the right sidebar! Don’t feel obligated though, I enjoy giving!

    Hi Mark,

    Nice theme,

I like the way the sidebars are on the right (is there anyway to move the sidebars to the right side in the last theme BANS-WordPress).

I read the Installation Instructions and they are clear …theirs no thinking, wondering if he means to put this file here or there.

I might use this on my All Natural Stone site among others.

    @ Rick -

Thanks – this is a great theme for many reasons, free being the best!

I have another theme coming out later today or early tomorrow that may interest you more for the stone site…

in regard tot he 2 right sidebars on the BANS-WordPress theme, it could likely be done pretty easily, but would involve a recode of the main template. The one coming out is a 2-right side column theme.

I will shoot a direct email.

    Hey mark

Thanks for the template, one question i have is, on my store pages the links are really huge (the domain under my name is the domain where i am trying this out) can you point me to the file that regulates that?

    @ Dave –

Did you already get this worked out? If not, theres an easy way to find the exact reference you need to edit.

The first step is by using the firebug extension for firefox. It will highlight the exact code sections in the stylesheet you need to edit.

I couldnt find any big text on the site linked in your sig… so I am assuming you go tit worked out.

I’ve been working on a health and wellness blog for about 3 months now and I settled on the WP_premium theme. I did some tweaking and I like the look.

Ironically, I just signed up for BANS and was looking around to see if I could use the WP_premium them with BANS.

I’m still new at this, do you feel the WP_Premium theme is pretty well SEO optimized out of the box? Are there any changes you would make to the script?

Thanks for the WP/BANS integration files :)

    @ JC –

I think its a GREAT theme for BANS! I have it up on several of my own sites and BANS fits perfectly!

In regard to the SEO factor, there is a plugin named SEO for WordPress that will help for that.

Its MORE about the content than anything else. You could have the crappiest SEO in the world and still do very well with unique and compelling content.

Now… just because SEO may be getting aged, it does not mean you dont want to optimize the way your write. From page titles to the content of the posts, you want to keep them as focused on a single topic as possible. That will make your POST or article, well optimized.

Yeah i worked it out, it was the CSS file of the theme, it took a while but i learned some new CSS lessons.

I was wondering do you know if it is possible to ad the shop search to the theme? i have been looking at the code but it’s like a blind man that is reading :)

    Thanks

    Glad its working out!

I added the search to one of my own sites… in the bans > themes > wp_premium_bans > folder, open up the header.php file and at the very BOTTOM (last line) add:

    < ?=$front->search();?>

It will pull the search box directly above your listings.

Just to be sure, did you download the BANS zip file as well? Here

The pathvars.php is located in the >wp-content>themes>WP_Premium folder.
