Installing the Simple CSS Theme with BANS in the Root of your Domain

Installation of this theme pack assumes you have already installed the WordPress blog platform to the root of your new or existing domain. In addition, you have already installed your BANS store into a subfolder of the public_html directory. Ex:

www.yourwebsite.com/ (Brings up your BANS Site)
www.yourwebsite.com/blog/ (Brings up your WordPress blog)

STEP 1 - Upload the Files to your Domain
******************************************************************************************

1 - The files included in the "Store" folder are to be uploaded to your BANS store directory.

• inc-store-menu.php
  This file goes directly into the root of your BANS STORE. If your store is installed in the public_html folder, (www.mydomain.com/) this file should resolve immediately inside the ssame folder.
  
  
• /themes/simplecss/ Folder
  This theme folder goes inside your BANS Themes folder, with your others themes.

2 - The files below are to be installed to the root of your BLOG directory. If your blog is in a /blog/ folder, these files go directly into the /blog/ folder

• inc-footer.php
• inc-top-menu.php
• inc-main-menu.php
• inc-rss.php
• inc-sidebar.php
• searchform.php
  

3 - The files in the /wp-content/themes/simplecss/ folder go inside your blog's theme folder (Inside /wp-content/themes/ )

STEP 2 - Configure the BLOG Theme files
******************************************************************************************

1 - Edit blog/searchform.php in the root of your blog directory and change the following line of code:

• Change the http://www.yourblogurl.com/blog/ and www.yourbansurl.com/ to represent your own store directories.
  Example:If BANS is your main site and in the root of your server, you would change www.yourbansurl.com/ to www.yourdomain.com/
  If your blog is in a /blog/ folder, you would change www.yourblogurl.com/blog/ to reflect www.yourdomain.com/blog/?s=
  (In both examples, change yourdomain.com to match your own)

Save and upload to your server, or if in cPanel, save and close

2 - Edit blog/wp-content/themes/simplecss/header.php in your blog's theme folder and change the following code:

• Change the "http://www.yourbansurl.com" value of $bansurl to match your BANS store directory
• Change the "http://www.yourblogsurl.com/blog" value of $blogssurl to match your BLOG store directory

NOTE: DO NOT INCLUDE TRAILING SLASHES IN EITHER OF THESE SETTINGS

Save and upload to your server, or if in cPanel, save and close

3 - Edit blog/wp-content/themes/simplecss/sidebar.php in your blog's theme folder and change the following code:

• Change the "http://www.yourbansurl.com" to match your BANS store directory

Save and upload to your server, or if in cPanel, save and close

STEP 3 - Configure the BANS Theme files
******************************************************************************************

2 - Edit /themes/simplecss/header.php in your BANS theme folder and change the following 2 sections of code:

• Change the stylesheet reference url to match your BLOG stylesheet location. In the case of this example, the blog is installed in the root of the domain, therefore you would only need to change the domain name. If the blog was in a /blog/ folder, you would have to change the domain name and include the /blog/ directory.
• Change the "http://www.yourbansurl.com" value of $bansurl to match your BANS store directory
• Change the "http://www.yourblogsurl.com/blog" value of $blogssurl to match your BLOG store directory

NOTE: DO NOT INCLUDE TRAILING SLASHES IN EITHER OF THESE SETTINGS

Save and upload to your server, or if in cPanel, save and close

For some odd reason, the blogsurl variable would not pull into one last include file - this is a quick fix until I discover why.

LAST - Edit blog/inc-rss.php in your blog's root directory and change the following code:

Sorry for this last part - but you need to change all 6 references to your blog url

Save and upload to your server, or if in cPanel, save and close

That's it!

Note: Inside both /theme/header.php files, there is a reference to a header banner that I suggest you change to your own, unless you want me to get the credit! :-) I currently have this setup for a 468x60 banner advertisement.
