Installing the BANS Dilectio theme

Installation of this theme pack assumes you have already installed the WordPress blog platform to your new or existing domain. In addition, you have already installed your BANS site and have it working as well

Note: As you go through these instructions, you will see the word BANS referenced many times. EACH time it is referenced, it is meant to be used as the root of your BANS site.
Note: As you go through these instructions, blog is referenced many times. Blog is referred to as the root of your wordpress files.

Also Note - BEFORE you try and install add-on files for this theme, you MUST download and install the Complete Dilectio Free theme from: http://designdisease.com/portfolio/dilectio_wordpress_theme/

MAIN FILES IN THIS ARCHIVE

• /BANS Files/ (Folder containing BANS Files. This folder should be considered the ROOT of your BANS installation)
  • inc-store-menu.php (php file goes on ROOT of BANS Location)
  • /themes/ (BANS theme folder. You should already have a themes folder, the files inside this archive theme go into that folder)
    • /BANS_dilectio/ (Folder containing BANS-WordPress theme files, folder and files go directly inside your BANS theme folder)
      • /images/ (Folder)
    • header.php
    • footer.php
    • styles.css
• /WordPress Files/ (Folder containing WordPress Files. This folder should be considered the ROOT of your WordPress installation)
  • /wp-content/ (Folder containing WP Theme and plugins folders. These will already exist in your WordPress server installation, the files and folders in this archive go into the existing folders)
    • /themes/ (Folder containing BANS-WordPress theme folder)
      • /dilectio/ (Folder containing 5 New files for the theme)
        • sidebar.php (Replace your existing sidebar.php with this file)
        • inc-bans-sidebar.php (php file stays inside wp dilectio theme folder)
        • inc-bans-header.php (php file stays inside wp dilectio theme folder)
        • inc-bans-footer.php (php file stays inside wp dilectio theme folder)
        • pathvars.php
• readme.txt (Link to this page)

STEP 1 - Edit pathvars.php and Upload the Files to your Domain
******************************************************************************************

1 - Edit wp-content/themes/dilectio/pathvars.php in your site root and change the following line of code near the top of the file:

//bansurl needs to be the location of your BANS store folder without a trailing slash
$bansurl = "http://www.yourdomain.com";
//blogurl needs to be the location of your WordPress blog without a trailing slash
$blogurl = "http://www.yourdomain.com/blog";
?>

Change the $bansurl reference of www.yourwebsite.com to your own website BANS directory information. DO NOT include a trailing slash.
Change the $blogurl reference of www.yourwebsite.com/blog to your own website BLOG directory information. DO NOT include a trailing slash.

Save and upload to your server, or if in cPanel, save and close

STEP 2 - In WordPress, If you have not already, Activate the New Theme & Plugins provided with original Theme

Admin > Design > Themes > Choose the Dilectio theme and activate

STEP 3 - In WordPress, Go to Settings > Permalinks > and choose a Permalink Structure

I prefer to use the third option > Month and Name

STEP 4 -Login to your BANS Admin, Go to Templates > and choose New BANS_Dilectio Theme

STEP 5 - In your BANS Admin, Go to Setup > and MAKE SURE your Store Menu is set to Staggered
