Bills Site Performance 1 + 2

I thought I would show site performance for my 1st and 2nd sites this week. If you recall from my last post I was a little behind and I still am. My first site Lionel Train Auctions was just a skeleton and I had no back links as of yet. I have since added some main categories and some sub categories. I have also added some KEI rich content pages that I will build out slowly. It’s a little early for content pages but I ran across the long tails in Word Tracker and was afraid I would forget them.

I have also been acquiring back links using US Free Ads , Directory Submitter, Digg, Stumble and Blogs that allow back links. I have also started using Stumble Upon Exchange . I love Stumble Upon. I’ve been using it with blogs and it helps fan a fire storm of traffic. Once we start adding content/article pages to our sites I will be stumbling those.

I have added directions for using Stumble Upon Exchange at Niche Store Marketing .

  As you can see from the following stats a little work go’s a long way. The site has also been found with some keywords organically.

Site 2 

I had planned to have 2 more sites loaded up by now but I only have one. My second site is Antique Collectible Auctions. It is at about the same point as Lionel Train Auctions was last week. The site has been up about 4 days and I have obtained around 8 to 12 back links and Stumbled and Dugg. 

Last days of February. I don’t know why it say 2/17. The site has only been up 4 days. It was docked for a week.

I hope to have Antique Collectible Auction up to speed in a day or two. Its a highly competitive, but I had the domain and needed to use it. What better than a broad Niche.

Hello everyone I am so glad to be working with Mark on this project. I have been using BANS for about 7 months now. Though I have built lots of blogs I hadn't really built any Web Sites. I had no experience in most of what was needed to build and promote a site properly. I now consider myself as a intermediate web master and am on my way to build a decent portfolio of Bans sites to go with my blogs.

    In my extremely humble opinion, the different robots crawling your site is good but the better items to look at is the “Connect to site from”. This will tell you what the robots did with the information they crawl. Did Google give you a link or links from the crawlings? It will also provide how many links are being directed back to you. this combined with the robot crawling tells the whole picture.

    To get rid of the black dot, go to Templates/styles.css, and edit the following section of code:

    #sidebar ul li {
    display: block;
    }

    Add this to the line below display block
    list-style: none;

    It should now look like
    #sidebar ul li(
    display: block;
    list-style: none;
    )
    Save and refresh you site and that should remove the black dot.

    Thanks for the black dot mod. Its on my list. After a few more days I wil return to it and do some work.
    Its very busy now. V3 is out and I have lots of domains to use.
