Build a Niche Guide from the BANS Crew

You have probably heard of the new learning product soon to be released from Adam and Kelvin, the developers of the very popular Build a Niche Store software. Today, we learned that within the next week, we will all be able to read exactly how Adam and Kelvin have built their own Niche Empire with BANS and other content systems!

I have to be honest – When I got the first email from them the other day, I ran out and regged a new domain to promote the product… and even tonight, as I got the second email, I jumped over and grabbed a domain they used as an example in the email. (Good domain name BTW)

As I sit here and write this post.. I’m asking myself what several of you may be asking…

What took you so Long?

More to come on this…

Aint that the truth. I’m also hoping that they do sell it on to some developers to take things to the next level.

    @ Mike –

I was a little taken back by the content of their email… in which they refer to seeing 99.9 percent of the sites they looked at being built wrong… and saying that people have been focusing on the wrong stuff.

If that’s been the case – why have they not been more active in the community, before now?

I have the utmost respect for both Adam and Kelvin and I DO know that BANS can be used as a great backend to manage a site – I just don’t get why they have sat back and watched all this going on and not stepped in before now to tell the tens of thousands of people using their product, that they all got it wrong, or at least 99.9% percent of them!

Kelvin mentioned to me more than a year ago that he wanted to write and release a guide like this… and one way or another, I think its going to be good for everyone to hear from them directly, how they have used their own product to excel.

I think it good they feel the need to breath new life into bans. I for one can’t wait.
    Very happy about this.
As for the 99% thing. There is a lot of what he’s talking about. Some of those site are mine I’m sure. I have given up on about 30 sites that just site and earn barely enough to pay for the hosting.
Get out and go for a bike ride everyone. We can get fat doing this.

Seems to me that this guide should’ve come with BANS when we initially bought the product. There was next to nothing in regards to promoting your sites. Now, they come out with this and want us to pay for it……….. Even if it’s an awesome guide, I’m a little bit pissed that they come out with this 2 y rs after I bought my BANS. luckily I have a store that’s making a small amount of money so i’ve made back what I paid for the script but withouth the help of Soggy, I wouldn’t have made a dime.

    Stop buying domains…..:).

I have to agree, I know products have to develop and move on but do you remember back in V1.0 when Adam was never out of the forum. They kind of did seem to walk away a little, perhaps if one of them had stopped in from time to time the attitudes towards BANS may be somewhat different as we speak.

I’m looking forward to reading the new guide, I am sure it may be quite basic but it will be good to see what they have come up with.

    Cheers
    Ben

Then again, of the 99% of the sites they have seen, they will also not see the other 99% of “pro” BANS sites that people make and never reveal!

Lets face it – those in the BANS forum who ask for a critique are obviously

    a)new
    b)stupid
c)have no real idea what they are doing!

I bet any of the BANS and IM pros could blow one of their sites out of the water in a week if they wanted to.
