Build A Niche Store Ebook Review-The Niche Book

thenichebook.jpgThe biggest problem any new or seasoned internet marketer has is getting the information we need when we need it. We’re constantly bombarded with do this and do that tips and advice but what’s lacking most of the time is a step by step plan that we can follow. We get overwhelmed because the pieces just don’t seem to fit together.

That’s why I was excited when Mark contacted me and asked me to review Steve Lindhorst’s latest ebook, “The Niche Book-The Complete Guide To Making Money In Niche Markets.”

So, how does it stack up? Let’s take a look…

Book Layout

The first thing the impressed me about this ebook is that it is neatly broken down into two distinct parts. Part one focuses on methods for finding your niche and part two takes your chosen niche and shows you several paths you can take to turn it into a profitable income stream.

Part One-Finding And Choosing A Niche

In the first half of the book, he starts out by explaining what a niche is and then discusses the distinct ways you can best research your niche. They are:

  • Researching trends to find a niche
  • Using keywords to find a niche
  • Using actual sales to find a niche

Part Two-Start Selling In Your Niche

The second half of the book deals with the many ways you can turn your niche idea into a revenue stream. Topics covered in this section are:

  • Two approaches to niche selling
  • Your niche store
  • Earning money as an affiliate
  • A look at the major affiliate programs
  • Working with affiliate networks
  • Build A Niche Store (BANS)
  • Using phpBay Pro and WordPress
  • Content is king

My Overall Impressions

Let’s talk about what a newbie and a seasoned veteran can take away from this book.

Newbie

Pros-This book is an incredible resource for anybody starting out in niche marketing. It gives you close look at the tools needed to find and profit from a niche idea laid out in a logical and easy to understand framework. You’ll have a quick and handy reference to be able to attack any niche you’re looking at.

An eight-week, 100% money-back guarantee-No questions asked!

Cons-The table of contents is not clickable. It would be an easier book to reference if it were.

Seasoned Veteran

Pros-No matter how long you’ve been selling online you WILL learn something from this book! I read this book bent on proving I already knew all of it and I found two things I hadn’t been using.

An eight-week, 100% money-back guarantee-No questions asked!

Cons-A lot of the information presented will not be new to you. The table of contents is not clickable. It would be an easier book to reference if it were.

All in all, I believe “The Niche Book-The Complete Guide To Making Money In Niche Markets” would be an excellent addition to any internet marketer’s toolbox.

The above review was written by a longtime reader of this website. As I mentioned yesterday, I chose NOT to review this ebook myself, to avoid a conflict of interest, since this website is listed as one of the resources in the book.

    Jeff,

    Has Lindhorst dealt with integrating BANS with Wordpress in the book?

    @GB SINGH,

    The book does explain BANS and the various elements of it but there is no section specifically dealing with the BANS/WordPress hybrid.

    The good news is that you’re already in the best place to learn about it-Mark’s blog.

  • G B SINGH said:

    No Jeff,

    Mark started the series, but then discontinued in between for the fear of losing readership!

  • Jeff Jones said:

    @GB SINGH,

    I can’t speak for Mark except to say that I believe you are mistaken and that he has NOT discontinued the BANS/WordPress subject.

    @Mark,

    Perhaps you’d like to address this concern?

    Jeff

  • G B SINGH said:

    Jeff,

    Mark himself confessed he had to discontinue it since there had been a sharp fall in the reader-count.

    You can refer to the discussion that took place in the comments space of the post named “Another Free BANS WordPress Theme from Ben!” dated October 2, for confirmation.

  • Jeff Jones said:

    @GB SINGH,

    The only thing I see from the comments on that post is that he stopped putting out instructional material on merging WP templates into BANS because of the technical nature of them.

    He has NOT abandoned using BANS and WordPress.

    @Mark,

    Could you please set the record straight?

    Jeff

  • Bill G said:

    Can’t speak for Mark either, but I can say just my ?s about wp/bans through email must have taken lots of his time.
    He did show us how to wrap wp & bans.

    Having been following Mark since the beginning he must be wearing thin when it comes to time.

    Hi Mark. Long Time Man. Hope all is good!!!!

  • G B SINGH said:

    Jeff,

    That is exacctly what I am saying that he stopped putting out instructional material on merging WP templates into BANS.

    I never said he has abandoned using BANS and WordPress.

    So when you say that – “The good news is that you’re already in the best place to learn about it-Mark’s blog.” – it only makes half sense to me, not full!

    Hi There Great review I do agree with you it would of been better for the ebook to be “clickable” and the contents as you so rightly say to a newbie would probably be overwhelming. Perhaps an “Idiots guide to building a Niche might be the next step.
    I enjoyed your review.
    Regards Tony b.

  • Jeff Jones said:

    @Tony B,

    Thank you for your kind words.

    My reference to the table of contents being clickable was to improve ease of navigation.

    The ebook itself is written for a newbie and experienced marketer. Both would benefit from it. The newbie more so.
