Build a Niche Store Empire – Adding your Product of Subcategory Pages

How long has it been since my last post in the series? 3-4 days maybe? Once you watch this video, you will know why there was a pause… Broken down below, you should be spending 1-hour on each of these steps. When you get to the end of a week, move onto another site and bring it up to the same point.

  1. Research the Niche
  2. Load the Site
  3. Configure the Niche Store Software
  4. Develop your MAIN Categories
  5. Install a sitemap and get some inbound links.

5 Hours later, END week 1… move onto another site for a week or so. Watch the video for further info.

I also need to mention that at one point in the video, I will mention The Best Hybrid Golf Clubs to Buy. When watching the video, it will all come together! :-)

I have to say that was very much worth watch, more than once.

I have my first BANS page started but I have so much more to do and learn to get it producing but it is already earning me a little money.

Unlike you and golf I am a bit of a fanatic about what my BANS site is about so I should have not trouble adding content regularly.

Now I have to get that sitemap in my site.

    Thanks again Mark

Bill – I wrote up instructions on how to do this at http://www.nichestorestrategies.com/how-to-add-a-dynamic-sitemap-to-your-site/

Just to clarify the post on Rochelles site about the dynamic sitemap files, you DO NOT actually get a sitemap.xml file from the download on WebMoguls site, it is generated “On the Fly”

    Mark,

Thanks for the instructions here … but they don’t really apply to my first store. Can your next set detail how to add subcategories to a brand name?

While I’m finding a few model numbers, I’m mostly coming across searches for parts (nothing specific there), reviews and ratings (which will require articles?) as well as various accessories.

Since this site was set up with mostly brand names as my categories, I’m moving on to my 2nd site as I await instructions on how best to handle this type of site.

    Thanks

    Cindy
