Jab...In my limited experience with SEO, submitting to directories is more about gaining links and link popularity than it is about driving customers and sales. When I submit to a Digg or a StumbleUpon, I'm not really looking for targeted customers. What I do want is the search engines to see the link and then crawl my site from there. It's a great way to get deeper pages on your BANS sites indexed. Again, I have very limited experience with SEO...so maybe Mark can clear things up a bit. Scott...I'm not sure what your question is, but basically I ran a keyword search and created categories according to # of searches. Take for instance the Samsonite link...when I continue on with this site, I plan on finding many different Samsonite models that I will list under the Samsonite categorie. I understand the concept of adding your site to multiple directories. But isn't the idea to get people to buy stuff from your BANS store? I have multiple BANS sites, some do well and some do poor. I can't put my finger on a good way to keep my stats up. I guess what I am trying to say is that submitting your site to directories just isn't enough. It takes a lot of hard work, a little luck and some pretty good knowledge of SEO.
