    Hey Eric…
What makes you so high on USFreeAds? Just wondering if you could expand on that thought. I see in your profile you said you are already seeing $100/month per site, which is my goal, so I’m interested to hear more about what you are doing!

    Hey Josh,

Unfortunately, I don’t have any “hard” data that proves that USFreeAds is getting me sales, but I can tell you that I have probably 50+ ads running right now for EACH site that I have (not including this current one) and I’m averaging probably around 3 or 4 views per day….times 50 = 150 views…per day! Some do better than others, but I have one that I know is #1 in Google and it gets a LOAD of views. Search the BANS forum for the “How to” regarding USFreeAds and you’ll see! It’s absolutely worth $9 per month…IMO

    Eric,

Just curious, are those views converting? Are you getting visitors to your site and are they buying?

I ask because I have a site that’s been enjoying a fairly steady trickle of 40-50 visitors a day, but I’ve only made about $60 since I set it up in November. A big chunk of that was an ebay signup.

So I’m thinking about adding USFreeads, if the viewers wind up clicking through to the site. I realize your results may not be my results, but just to give me an idea of what’s possible.

    Thanks!

    Honey

    Hi Honey,

I’m really BAD at tracking where my clicks are coming from and what sites are driving traffic….and which of those are converting into sales. I really haven’t got a clue. It’s actually something I’m trying to get better at! So unfortunately, I really don’t know how USFreeAds is converting.

I do know that it’s a great tool to drive keyword targeted traffic to a BANS site, though. What I do is take a good long tailed keyword….put up a quick USFreeAd with a couple pictures, and then do another…and another. I can put up probably 5 USFreeAds in under a half hour! That’s another thing of beauty with them.

One tip I’ve learned with USFreeAds is that there can’t be too much competition with your chosen keyword phrase. I shoot for 1000 or less competing pages (in quotes)….obviously the lower, the better. You can EASILY get on Google page 1 if you find a keyword phrase with 500 or less competing pages!

There are numerous people that swear by them on the BANS forum. Just run a quick search…

I ran a google search for link:http://www.affordableknives.net/ and got zero hits. It seems as if there aren’t any links back to your site from USAFreeAds, OnlyWire, Digg, StumbleUpon, BANSDir or You-Found.us. How long does it take for the links to show up?

    Eric,

Where do you get pictures to put in your ads? And are you posting ads for specific items for sale or just honing in on a category or subcategory on your site?

    Cindy

    Mike….here’s the Digg link: http://digg.com/other_sports/Collectible_Pocket_Knives

Some sites take longer than others to get listed…and I don’t always link directly to the hompage. May be why you didn’t find much….

Cindy….I mostly use the actual picture from the ebay auction item. It’s been covered in the BANS forum, and mainly people are saying that they highly doubt if the auction seller minds if we use their picture to promote their product. So as far as any picture royalty issues…I don’t worry too much about it.

When I do USFreeAds, I focus on a good, low competition phrase and write an short ad (about 200 or so words) with a couple pictures and anywhere from 2 to 5 DIFFERENT links back to my site. One of the links is to my homepage, and the others can be links back to seperate product/category pages.

One other thing to consider when looking for backlink details…

Google backlinks will not show unless it is on the parent domain, and in most cases, I recall did not count Backlinks unless they were a certain PR (4 I think)

Use http://www.alltheweb.com or a different meta search engine to find backlink info. (Yahoo works also)

I use WebCEO to count backlinks as well and it provides a historical tracking of the increase with each check. (Once a month)

Got something to say?
