Thanks very much for these terrific videos! I’m in the middle of setting up my first BANS site, so these excellent tutorials to help me create a unique site are much appreciated.

I may be the only one having trouble, but on a few of your videos, I can barely hear the audio. Had no problems with the “Determining your Main Categories” vid, but struggling with the next set. Also could be the four kids I have creating a ruckus in my house, however ;)

    Thanks again!

I have to say that I could not hear the video either. I had my volume turned up to full and it was mostly static so I had to shut off the video.

I have the same problem. It is not loud enough to hear.

Yes, the sound level is very low but… a pair of cheap headphones worked fine for me :-)

    Thanks for more excellent info!

Great video but had to struggle to hear the audio even with a headset and the volume turned all the way up.

    Mark,

What about using more than one keyword phrase in the Meta Title on the Home page? For instance, if I was selling golf clubs would it be ok to use this example:

Callaway Clubs | Ping Clubs | TaylorMade Clubs

I’ve seen this before, but always wondered if it would hurt/help you in the search engines???

    @ Eric -

On the home page… absolutely! There was an article at SEOChat at one point that said extra characters should be avoided. It raised some heated debates and the general consensus is that you should write your titles for human readers…

In some cases, characters will mess up your code, especially in BANS. Single and double quotes in the tags can have an ill effect… but other things such as & and commas are fine!

I followed the video to set the store up and it was quite helpful. I have a couple of questions. First of all, how many keywords are too many or how many are appropriate? Secondly, I implemented the custom store however, my home page is blank even though I selected the option to list products on the home page? All of the other pages do list the products properly.
Any ideas and thanks for the series

    Paul -

Go to your top store page (the one with no delete link) in your admin, and make sure:

    1) There is a category number in place
    2) There is a search word in the query field.
