I am excited about this second series about building bans stores...it's just what I needed to kickstart me into fixing and developing more stores. I worked along with you in the first series, that started in September of last year. I was a little frustrated at not being able to take my stores to the "next level" of sales. So, because I was a little skeptical (of myself, not you!), I did a store in a pretty competitive market (webkinz) and didn't buy a domain, just used a sub-domain. Well here are my commissions for that store: Oct 2007 - $1.92 Nov 2007 - $57 Dec 2007 - $96 Jan 2008 - $163 Feb 1-9, 2008 - $101 If the rest of February is as good as the first nine days, this store is on track to make over $300 this month! I have come to realize that i need to drill deep,really deep to find a niche, that will be relevant, and have enough interested buyers, but not so broad that there is too much competition. Thanks to everyone for there input, I have read them all. I have also gone back through the archives, and am following the Build a Niche Store Process Series, which has helped me in the process of niche finding and how to do the research through ebay. This is going to be a large learning curve.
