I have noticed a major drop in the "link harvestor" sites picking up my sites in the last month. Now they are like any other publicly traded company, in that they have to appease the demands fo their shareholders. If you watch their stock over the past year... it has really not shown steady growth, like the 5 year chart does. I have my own reservations about internet search being so controlled by one company, which it clearly is right now.
