Spot the Niche - Find a Niche Market in Your Inbox

Last week as I was running around at some of my favorite places to read, I ran across an interesting post and for the life of me, I cannot find it again! Basically, it had a small blurb about a great place to find a new niche market… your inbox!

Since I am the webmaster of several ecommerce websites (non-BANS) I have many email addresses and many ways that people can get ahold of me. Along with those addresses. alot of Spam! Roughly 350-500 daily Junk emails! I have most of them filtered out with Outlook or on the server itself, but for the junk that does get through, just watch for trends…

Spammers or bulk mailers are always in front of the best ways to get a nickel out of someones pocket! In this case, there are several niche markets in these three emails…

Spam Blocker Software
Antivirus Software
Shoes
Heels
Boots
Weight Loss remedies
Hoodia
Watches
etc etc…

So, next time you draw a blank, check your trusty spam folder! It may hold a gem!

Spot the Niche in a Post - What Find Yee in Here?

So, I was scampering around earlier today thinking of the next Spot the Niche image and I noticed our dogs looking at me kinda funny! Surely it wasn’t because I was in boxers and a checkered flag tee shirt?!

It was one of those moments you had to see… Simon (left) & Archie (Right) our Westie Terriers.

Get your Domain Name Skills Sharpened - Niche This!

OK… Kind of a weird post title, but you will learn it was for good reason.

In general, I watch very little TV… I mean, I will catch a bit of news or anything that has to do with building something (Modern Marvels, etc) BUT… there are two things I generally wont miss. Sunday afternoon football or NASCAR (for the 4 hour Sunday nap), AND for some reason, I actually like American Idol! Yup.. 42 years old, and I absolutely get into seeing what may be our future Pop Stars.

I am NOT a touchy-feely kind of person and not really a huge fan of John Lennon, but I gotta tell you… David Archuletta’s performance of John Lennon “Imagine” last night, has this kid destined for super stardom! I actually choked up listening to this and told Kim that it is by far, one of the best voices I have ever heard! (That comes from someone who busted ear drums on Van Halen in the 80’s) If he had a CD out, I would have bought it already…

CD’s, T-Shirts, Fan Sites, Blogs, History, ANYTHING to do with this kid will be profitable! Get in now…

Spot the Niche - Using Google images!

This week - For a reason I will explain later today, I didn’t have the time to shoot any picture! Long story… bad story actually! So what did I do? I went over to eBay and looked at the category list on the left side of the page. I took the first word, Antiques, and typed it into Google Image search… (images.google.com)

Google returned a page of pictures, all related to antiques!

Spot the Niche in Google

This week - if you draw a blank… go to Google images and type a stray word into the browser, you may be surprised at what ideas you get!
