CobraStang – Ready Made Niche Website For Sale!
Back in April, I mentioned that I had too many domains and needed to find a way to eliminate many of them. What I decided to do, was try my hand at content flipping, with a slightly different perspective! Not only did I want to provide a great starting point for someone, I wanted to give them the option of receiving all the important stuff they needed, to make the success in the shortest amount of time possible.
In total, I will be offering up more than 75 of this type of site over the next few months… if you don’t see the one you like this week, next week may bring something in your market!
Niche Site for Sale – A Mustang Cobra Website!
Are you a fan of cars, specifically Mustangs? If so, this site is aged, optimized and ready to go!
CobraStang was originally registered as a place for me to blog about my own love of Ford Mustangs, but due to having too much to keep up with, it just fell off my radar and was neglected. The niche itself is very popular among a predominately male crowd, and there is high volume for many related searches in engines!
History of CobraStang
- Originally Registered: May of 2002 (7 year old domain)
- Acquired by Me: July, 2007 (TDNAM auction)
- Registrar: GoDaddy
I launched a BANS site on the domain in July 2007, and continued building to more than 140 pages of content. When BANS became unpopular in mid 2008, the site was rebuilt using a WordPress / BANS themed blogging site and continued to generate revenue throughout 2008, until it was ultimately removed from the host in Feb of this year, due to lack of updating.
The site was relaunched not long ago, and already has traffic from previous marketing efforts over the past 2 years. It has NEVER been delisted or in any kind of trouble with search engines.
Included in this Sale
The CobraStang site was completely tore down and rebuilt to look best in the free Arthemia wordpress theme. After reviewing demand, keywords and other indicators I look at before building a site, CobraStang comes ready to go, with the following:
- Hosting: 30 Days, to give you time to move it to your own host. (Recommend Hostgator)
- Domain Name: CobraStang.com – Free transfer to your GoDaddy Account, registered through July 2010.
- CobraStang Flickr account for all image posting needed for the site.
- CobraStang Twitter account, ready for followers!
- The optimized custom created content, branding, logo’s and images (Unless notated in posts as credited to others, or part of the theme)
- 30 Draft Pages of year-specific subpages, that need to be completed over time by the new owner. These are all the years of the Cobra Mustangs, and should be completed over the course of a month or two. (Or all at once if you desire)
- 10+ Published post content pages to get each of the main categories in place, as well as the Featured and Headline sections of the site working properly.
- Plugins Installed and already configured include the following:
- All in One SEO
- Google XML Sitemaps
- WordBay the Free ebay affiliate plugin
- Smart YouTube Plugin
- Flexi-Pages Widget
- Redirection Plugin
- Robots Meta Config (to noindex specific pages until they ready for search engines)
This site is truly a diamond in the rough… with a very brand-able domain name, indexed content for more than 7 years, and a high demand niche market, where buyers like to spend their disposable income!
How to Buy CobraStang
Starting Price of this website: $290.00 (That’s really dirt cheap!) To bid on this site, head over to the eBay auction and bid today. The auction will last for 5 days, unless someone uses the buy now option and ends it early.
Buy it Now Bonus
Since I am targeting fairly new to moderate Internet Marketers, I wanted to offer a bonus option for someone who is serious about making this business. I have set a buy it now option on this auction of $1350.00 (Which is what I would have charged to build it!)
If the auction is won using the buy it now, the winner will also receive several items which will help them get up to speed and achieve success with the site much quicker!
- A Mock Business Plan on how to take this website and turn into a business.
- A Series of recorded training videos, specifically recorded for this website, covering every aspect of using the wordpress system, working with the images, featured section, writing posts content, seo optimization of the content etc. There are roughly 13 videos in total.
- A site specific search keyword report, directing the new owner which phrases should be targeted.
- A site specific report containing lists of related websites to network with.
- I will also move the site to new owners hosting account at no charge.

What are the chances that we, unknowingly, came up with basically the same idea and blogged about it on the SAME DAY! Like you said, great minds think alike : )
The site you have up for auction looks amazing! I know the amount of work that goes into a site like that and whoever wins it will be getting a high quality site for sure! Best of luck with your auction.
Rochelle
Even though I wouldn’t know my arse from my elbow when it comes to cars, you make a great sales pitch! I look forward to seeing your other sites as they come up for sale, just in case there’s one I know something about……
WOW – this is AMAZING!
Man – you know I’m a flip ninja, and you know I love the Arthemia theme.. so this site is a no brainer for anyone looking to get a jump start in a great niche. Looks great man!
@ Rochelle, Marilla & Nadiya – Thanks for the kudos on the site, but I cannot take any credit for the layout, just the content and logos, etc. The Arthemia is great to work within, once you have all the little caveats down and understand it!!
@ Elijah – Shouldnt you be making some office space in the house for your new buisiness partner? :-/
Good to hear from you Elijah!!
Are my eyes deceiving me, or do you have a 100% positive rating on your eBay account??? How did you manage to have that many ratings and not piss off that ONE customer who negs you just because he can?
@ Rochelle –
LOL – Yup! I have had that account for several years and Kim and ran a few pretty successful ebay stores.
I wouldn’t say the customer is always right, but it was just about communication and always doing what was right. :-)
Kims seller account is at 4393 feedback, and only 1 neg in 7 years!
Mark
Congrats on the outstanding ratings for both of you!!! I was a seller for a while and think I have one neg. It was someone who did it out of spite. Stupid.
Best of luck with the auction. The ratings certainly will help you.
Hi Mark,
I looked at your CorbaStang e-bay auction, and this is just my opinion I like everything until I got to the buy it now bonus what that told me was I’m on my own as far as working with the site unless I spend a whole bunch more.
I think this cut out a lot of people that might consider buying it but know very little or nothing about blogging.
Their is a very large group of people that have seen their retirements go down the drain and are looking for ways to retire they have little computer skills but maybe would be willing to take a chance if the site also include a basic user manual with it.
The below is pretty scary looking stuff. What does this all mean?
Hosting: 30 Days, to give you time to move it to your own host.
Domain Name: CobraStang.com – Free transfer to your GoDaddy Account, registered through July 2010.
CobraStang Flickr account for all image posting needed for the site.
CobraStang Twitter account, ready for followers!
The optimized website, all custom created content, branding, logo’s and images (Unless notated in posts as credited to others)
30 Draft Pages of year-specific subpages, that need to be completed over time by the new owner. These are all the years of the Cobra Mustangs, and should be completed over the course of a month or two. (Or all at once if you desire)

Again this is just my opinion
@ Scubaman –
I definitely understand the apprehension when there is alot thats not understood.
In ref to the feeling of being on your own once the site is in your possession, is somewhat true to a degree. I mean, I am not going to abandon the buyer with no help, but for economic reasons alone, I cannot get into the details of teaching someone on a 1-1 basis how to do everything on a specific site, as it would take me several days or longer to do.
That said – there is a plethora of learning already on this site and several others on how to use wordpress, how to use flickr, twitter, keyword research, SEO, etc. In addition, each of the plugins included with the site have pretty extensive documentation and forums that suport them as well.
Its also the exact reason I decided to offer the learning side of it as an option for someone who may not have the process of building one of these sites quite in tune yet.
I wish I could explain the level of detail the training videos get into, but in a nutshell, they explain exactly the type of things you ask about in your second section about what all the scary stuff means. The videos visually teach you how to do everything for this exact website, recorded while doing them on this website.
Thank you for the feedback on this as well!!
Mark
Mark,
I looked, considered it, but then backed away because of my hesitation regarding the potential of automotive sites and eBay motors. I have a “muscle car site” that gets satisfactory level of clicks through to eBay but does not convert. My conclusion is that there are are number of people that click and drool over these automotive sites and just don’t have what it takes to purchase via eBay Motors. All the “empty clicks” don’t help with eBay and their quality measurement methods. In my case a better understanding of the potential for the site might have moved me to purchase. Don’t get me wrong I see the “value” in what you created. Maybe a little extra on “potential” would be helpful.
wow, how quick was that Mark?
both links to e bay from here have the site removed or withdrawn?
cheers
