I've changed my thinking now because I want to be the authority site and the easiest way to do that is to have all the links my visitors need right at their fingertips. I want them to come to my site first and then use my help to get the right information. I wrote a few Knols in August, linked to the knols and since then I have been getting regular visitors from there. Yes, It is important to link exactly to the information (page) instead of the main page on outbound links. Don't make your visitors search for something on another site. At movingsnow.com I link out 4 pr 0 sites, 1 pr 3, 2 pr6 and a pr 7. It seems to help get my keywords higher in Google search.
