Anyone who watched the installation video of BANS Flex yesterday, knows how much code work was involved in getting everything working in the right places. As I was preparing the Orange Crush BANS Theme for you all this morning, it became apparent that it just needs to be easier!
In order to make this as drop and go as possible, I want to revisit a few of the sections of code and develop a few ways to do this with much less editing.
In the meantime, I will let you know that I have also completed a direct BANS replacement for one of the three column templates provided with Build a Niche Store. The template was done to allow you to use on either an existing store or a new site!

Got something to say?

Orange Crush looks great!
It’s very warm and vibrant - I bet it would work great for summer niche’s like gardening, travel, camping, even fashion…
Good stuff.
Looking good!
It’s been interesting watching the BANS/WP integration progress. Looks pretty seamless now.
Keep up the good work :-)
@ All -
in regard to the process… It is actually getting easier as I go along and find a new “shortcut” every day.
Overall… your BANS menu can be pulled into ANY application, blog, forum, etc.. you name it. I have created an include file for the menu items… call the file, you have a menu, linked and ready to be used anywhere.
I actually hope to break the entire process into a short series of recorded posts. That way if anyone has a template they may want to try and convert… they can have a go at it!

I love the WP themes you’re making, but I’m also intrigued by the direct BANS replacement you mention. I have a new niche that I want to build a BANS store for, and I think it doesn’t really need a WP blog on the frontend. But I was going to put one there anyway, just because I prefer your WP/BANS themes to any other template available! Maybe your new direct BANS theme will suit this site.
Cheers,
Susan
