@ GB -

With WordPress, you CAN split your categories into separate feeds on the site, yet still have them as part of a main feed. Additionally, if you use a list manager like aWeber, people could subscribe to individual sections of your site, versus the entire site.

ie: You could have a topic on "This" with its own feed and mailing list.

Bill could have a section, focused on "That", with its own feed and mailing list.

Visit http://news.yahoo.com/rss, and you can see how each section has its own feed and separate rss. On this site even, with the standard WP install, you can just add: /feed/ behind ANY of the categories to the right and see they all have their own feeds.

I hope that helps...

No, if I want to make a community here on some particular issue of action (supposing you - the one whose blog it is - allow so) in which 17 other people are interested too; and Bill wants to do so on some other issue in which some other 21 are interested...

Can these two communities be separately made somehow and declared being made that way on a blog platform?

I do not want to use other platforms since blog is a real creative platform that has suited my temperament somehow!

I am just contemplating how far we can stretch the limits of this platform keeping it format blog only. If it is conveniently possible, I have some real good plans with me.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('14678','G B SINGH','No, if I want to make a community here on some particular issue of action (supposing you - the one whose blog it is - allow so) in which 17 other people are interested too; and Bill wants to do so on some other issue in which some other 21 are interested...\r\n\r\nCan these two communities be separately made somehow and declared being made that way on a blog platform?\r\n\r\nI do not want to use other platforms since blog is a real creative platform that has suited my temperament somehow!\r\n\r\nI am just contemplating how far we can stretch the limits of this platform keeping it format blog<\/b> only.
@ GB - I think you can... but I would not recommend it. The spammers are too crazy!! On the DIY Reviews site, I already get 15-20 spam comments every day, you can imagine the context of the posts if I opened up user submitted posts with no editorial process.

I set all users to "Contributor" which requires my approval before their post goes public.

In regard tot he communities of readers... I am not sure I understand. This blog for instanct is straight wordpress and has a community of readers like yourself.
