I never got my email so I did it again with a second email of mine. That time I got the email right away.
FYI - You can’t use the free URL to buy one from GoDaddy’s auctions (I just tried…).

not trying to cut in on answer from Augie but you can go to http://www.retailmenot.com/ and type godaddy.com or even tdnam.com and find the codes for savings. ..I use these and have great success even on expiring domains..hope this help some…Otis
Thanks for the offer but I am going to stick with Hostgator for webhosting and Idotz.net for domainnames. I have had perfect luck with them.
The GoDaddy deal does look good though.
