Google toolbar PR Update – IN PROGRESS!

29 February 2008 6 Comments So Far, Join In!

Hi All -

As I was scanning sites again tonight, I actually saw a PR update going on as I browsed! (www.getaracecar.com from PR2-PR3 tonight, along with several other site changes)

Sites that were PR1 10 minutes ago… are increasing and changing as the night progresses!

Check your own sites… see if there are any changes.

Mark

Len – Use IE as your browser (although I see that there is now a Google Toolbar for Firefox but I don’t know if this shows PR). You need to have the Google Toolbar installed, if you don’t already. You can get it at http://www.toolbar.google.com.

During the installation process you are asked if you want to submit anonymous information to Google (or something like that). You need to say YES to this in order to see PR information.

After installation and setup there will be a button on the toolbar that says, “PageRank” and has a bar under it. The bar will show what the page rank for a given URL. If there is no PR it will say, “No PageRank Information Available.”

You can hover your mouse over the button to see specifics about the PR.

It’s been a while since I installed my Google toolbar so I’m sure someone will add anything I might have missed or got wrong.

Nice look. I really like how your header looks and works. Do you have a tutorial?

Scott – Who are you asking and what site are you referencing?
