How Do You Push Through a Bad Day?

Sometimes – nothing you do seems to go right? Have you ever been there? Don’t lie!

This post is a perfect example of that situation… since I hit the “Publish” button, when I really meant to save it as a draft and finish writing it!

I guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed or something… but being in an ill mood, just compounded to a flat-out crappy morning!

How do YOU bust out of the funk?

The best thing you can do is walk away and do something different if you can.

That is one of the benefits of working in IM – you can take a few hours off without too much fallback.

Go for a walk, have a shower, do something physical – thats what I used to do to break that feeling. Didn’t always work though…

I usually go for a good run or a 15 mile cycle, that usually sorts it out :)

One a fine day I’ll take off with my camera and lose myself in f-stops and shutter speeds or on a wet day, it’s either pizza and dvds or a nice long read.

As Tao said, you can take a few hours or a few days off in this business, that is the beauty of it.

Wow…I thought it was just me. I haven’t had a rotten day like this in a very long time.

But I just feel lock in, with no choice but to push forward. Fortunately, I live alone and don’t have to subject anyone else to my misery.

    Got a lot done…but didn’t enjoy it.

Coke and hookers always works for me.

Ok I am kidding. I usually go for a bike ride. Clears me right up.

    LOL Bill!

Thanks for the tips all… Usually, I jump into my car and take a nice long ride. With gas at $3.15 a gallon… I may need to consider the bike routine!

$3.15 is luxury Mark. Here in the UK it’s now $6.54! We walk a lot now lol

@Kev Jaffray – Ouch… that would kill us in the USA. Everyone lives in the burb’s… 25 mile daily commutes, etc.

    Plus we loves our compression.

I am eyeballing a new Challenger…trying to tell myself no.

So far it’s working….but I know me…..I suck at self control.

@Bill – The new Challengers are HOT for sure! Find yourself a Supercharged Hemi!

Still like my Mustangs though… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcNALaJSm58&NR
