Google Shares the Adsense Revenue Split

Google announced they are now going to share the adsense earning share… 68% is the number most of us earn!

If you have a lot going on in the adsense world like I do (50-60% of my income is adsense generated now)

this is HUGE news!

Today, in the spirit of greater transparency with AdSense publishers, we’re sharing the revenue shares for our two main AdSense products — AdSense for content and AdSense for search.

There is a new reporting interface only available in beta right now (You can sign up here) this is going to be one of those optimization tools, you simply cannot be without!

Will You Sign Up?

I did!

    Whoa!

    Huge News! This is really great. “The man behind the curtain” finally shows himself for a moment, so to speak.

    Thanks for the heads up Mark.

    Thanks for the up date Mark. That’s good news. I was figuring about 20% and someone else said that it was somewhere around 50% and I couldn’t believe that. I also saw your ending comment that “Most of us earn” – I have some that get $0.01 when I only get one click for that site. I know there not getting $0.02 so that’s how that works I guess.
    Thanks again.

    @Tyler – Niche Store Journey – Yeah – I was kinda surprised by the rates… I mean, 68% is a big share!

    @Warren – I have some penny earners also. Those are usually content network buyers who specify max bid of .01 for remnant ads.

    Ex: I help out a local company, and that local company does a lot with adwords. They specify that they are willing to pay .01 on ANY website within a 10 mile radius of the city.

    When no adverts are in the system G uses “remnant ads” like this to fill the gaps.

    I signed up too, might as well. I’m wondering what other kind of adjustments Google will make when Yahoo & MSN launch their ad network alliance later this year.

    @Mark – How do you get hooked up to those, Mark?

    Also do you think this has anything to do with the problems that Facebook is having now, with there transparency?
