Kick your Day Job in the Ass and Do what You Want!
If you have been reader for awhile, you have probably seen at least one of the many comments by a regular reader, Elijah. A couple weeks ago, he emailed me and asked if I would be interested in doing a 20 Questions type interview for his & Veronica’s site, The At Home Couple… of course, I jumped on it!
This morning, he posted up the 20 Questions with Mark Hansen and if I do say so myself, it’s brilliant! :-) ok… I did say so myself didn’t I?
Elijah and Veronica are a couple from Toronto who just got tired of the ups and downs of “working for the man” so to speak, and decided to follow their dreams and make a living on the Internet! They started documenting their adventures back in January of this year and the blog contains some great reading! If you enjoy witty writing mixed up with a bit of twisted humor (Just my kind BTW) you are sure to enjoy!
Last week, they challenged themselves to pay the $84.85 cost for their groceries by earning the same money back from affiliate marketing… they were very successful and ended up flipping a domain for profit… remarkably, they sold it for much more!! So much, that it has inspired me to work on a side-project and flip a few of my own domains with their guidance!! Watch for the future posts soon…

Well thank you my friend – I try and write as I would talk to my closest friends or family, and unfortunately for them, I do push the limits of sensitivity sometimes with my sense of humor :)

@ Mark…why would anyone especially Kim ever say you are twisted…?
Is there any special SEO we could be doing with these bans/wp hybrid sites? You used to recommend Submit Edge for regular BANS, and have their ad on your site. Is this appropriate for the bans/wp site too? What other kinds of promotion can I do on my sites that will pay off?

Too many people develop a site today and then watch the stats for 2-3 weeks, only to be disappointed with the results and give up on it. I “was” in that boat about a month or so ago. Now, I have 10 stores and my plan is to continue developing those before venturing out to start new ones. I had previously posed a question over at the BANS forums (Quality vs. Quantity) and this post has more than answered my question….which I already knew the answer to! :D
Can’t wait to convert all my stores to Mark’s Bans-Wordpress format and get the content rolling!
