I know… another post about PageRank! I got an email from Otis this morning saying he noticed some PR changes going on… Sure enough, its time for a Google PR Dance!
I agree with 100% of everyone else who says PageRank has no instant effect on your actual site earnings… because it doesn’t! I have sites with PR5 that make little to no money and others that have PR0, making me some nice fat bank every day!
PR is a measure of site”authority”, nothing else. Don’t get hung up on it… UNLESS you are Buying or Selling a domain with PageRank!
Watch your toolbars… PR update in progress!

I have been doing my part to "Build the Internet" since 1994, when I built my first website! Since then, I have built hundreds of niche websites for myself and many others, focused on design, applications, ecommerce, search optimization and internet marketing.
So IS there any other benefit to having a higher page rank, other than the sell factor?
Sure…
Bragging rights and of course, its much easier to get MORE people to link to you!
Aside from that… PageRank is nothing but a great diversion! :-)
Ignore it… kill the toolbar (if you have one) and only use PR tools if you plan on buying/selling a domain or website.

Yes it is easier to get links , get advertisers and sell your sites. People are more willing to trust you because of the authority you have. IT updates every three or so months and is not a very accurate metric to base a websites worth off of.
Yep, keeping my eye on the toolbar, hoping for an increase on a couple of my sites with all the hard work I have been putting in but we will see :).
Pagerank updates used to cause me migranes a few years ago until I stopped worrying about it because there’s nothing you can do about whatever Google slaps you with.
You’re right Mark. I see it happening as well. Last pagerank update wasn’t very good for me but I am hoping that this time around I have modified things in a positive way. :)
Let´s see how it goes with my PR this time, I got dropped to PR 0 even though I write a new blog post every day.Lucky for me, PR is only 1 of the thing Google looks at when deciding rankings.
@ Tom – I know what you mean Tom, Google slapped me down to a PR0 as well. I am thinking I may have to contact them to see if they will tell me why they knocked me down.
I have contacted them in the past with other issues but never seem to get an answer that actually tells me anything.
I saw some changes in inner pagerank for some of my main categories. About seven of them, got PR3’s, but no change with the main page PR.
I haven’t heard much about if this was a full update, but I noticed some changes here and there.
