Niche Site Building Network, Including BANS, Being Sold

In 2009, it looked like Adam and Kelvin had a lot of choices to make, all of them hard choices! If you recall, they decided to sell Build a Niche Store, then they changed their minds and decided to stop the sale and instead, build a Niche Site Builders Network, to work on a new product for 2010.

Today – We Know The Future of Adam and Kelvin

If you got the email I got… you already know. Adam and Kelvin decided to wash their hands of the affiliate marketplace all together and focus on a new endeavor, InColour.

f you would like to learn how to use the niche sites you have built and are building to create new income streams via the selling of relevant information please subscribe to the newsletter list for this product.

As of right now, I truly don’t know what inColor is going to be about, but it appears to have something to do with selling information, not sure. The new site does not answer many questions at this point.

But What About BANS, N1Way, Etc?

At this point, all we know is that it is going to be relisted for sale and sold to someone else. Not sure who… and not sure what they will do with our information, or if they will take the product line any farther than its already come.

Consequently, The Niche Site Building Network will now be sold and My Simple Site Builder as a development project will be shelved, passing the opportunity to develop the network further to a new owner.

Best of Luck to Adam and Kelvin

I want to stop for a second and thank both Adam and Kelvin for building a great product several years ago! Without their initial surge to get everyone building niche focused websites, I would never have met them, and most of you who have come to build a skillset that you can use for the rest of your lives!

In 2007, I was one of the original moderators on the BANS forum, right when it started growing and got to know quite a bit of the community very well through 07 and 08. I have a few contributions to the core code within BANS itself, but I stepped aside as a forum moderator when my mother passed away in early 2008 and I didn’t think I could give it the attention it needed any longer.

It’s for sure been a fun ride with BANS – and I hope the new owners do something to build some excitement in the community again!

Mark

I hate that they are selling again. I thought they had decided a while ago that they were not selling. I guess things change and I wish them luck with their future web business.

I purchased BANS in Nov ’06 when it was just getting started. I remember when I joined the forum there were only a handful of members. Adam actually helped build my first site. They didn’t have a complete guide yet & combining categories was a more complicated process with BANS 1.0 (at least over my head at the time) so Adam took a good amount of his own time & helped me out.

I wish Kelvin & Adam the best of luck. Despite all the ups & downs with BANS & EPN, the sites I have built with their product have provided me with a good amount of income over the last couple of years that I otherwise wouldn’t have. Hope the new owners can now take it to the next level.

I wanted to chime in too and say that purchasing BANS and hanging out at that community forum has also changed my life. I was a total technophobe (still am of sorts) but so many nice people there helped me jump in and really get started in my online marketing (not just my niche stores – which still produce a small monthly income). Great post Mark … I’ll be watching to see the outcome of course. *SmiLes* Suzanne

[...] BANS is for sale however, and nobody knows what will happen when the new owners take over. In addition to this, BANS may be rendered useless once php6 comes around and is installed on your hosting system. The sky is NOT falling with that statement – Tao on the BANS forum has said he will recode the files to work with php6, if needed… [...]
