		<description>Hi Mark,
I am a bit late getting on the bandwagon, I just discovered you yesterday while doing my BANS due diligence. I do have a question though. Do we still need to join the Commission Junction affiliate program since they no longer run the eBay BANS program? Now that eBay has their own affiliate network should I just join theirs instead and skip CJ?
Thank you for sharing all this information for free when you could so easily have profited greatly by selling it!
Regards,

		<description>Hi Cindy -

First and foremost - no problem at all on the questions!

In regard to the adsense ads - across the 13 -15 sites they are on, they earn about $190-$220 per month right now, so yes, it is worth it!

For myself, I like to try and keep as much as possible ABOVE the fold so to speak, or on the main part of the page without having the visitor scroll down. This holds true for the menus as well as image or text ads. I have not found that it affects the CJ or eBay earnings as they are substantial also. My ultimate goal is to find one way or another to convert as many users as possible into some form of revenue.

Most of the banner ads in the top portion of the pages are not adsense, but commission junction ads. I do all I can to find CJ ads first in a closely related market to the niche site. If there are no options or vendors, I will choose a Google adsense block or auction ad block of code.

The main reason I prefer to find a CJ ad is that it gives me a good sense as to how many times or impressions the pages have aside from just the traffic logs. eBay&#039;s auction feed does not register impressions on the CJ tracking, the image ads do!

		<description>Mark,

Can you give some insight on when and where to use AdSense? I&#039;ve noticed in looking at many of your sites that you have AdSense in various places (other than just the sidebars) on various sites. Are you testing locations ... does it depend on the niche ... does the value of the niche product affect your decisions, etc.

While having AdSense visible in the top fold of the site should increase your AdSense earnings, do you feel that it detracts from your eBay earnings ... which should potentially be higher than AdSense?

Also, you tend to use the AdSense image ads for many of your sites as part of the header. Do these convert well or are they more for decoration? Is there a way to see what image ads might appear on your site? I&#039;ve always stayed away from image ads (because &quot;they&quot; say to!) but I also think that some niches might not have much in the way of image ads.

Sorry for all the questions!
