PepperJam Partners with NetShops

What can I say about this - I was overwhelmed this morning when I saw the list of niche targets on the list I got in email! If you ever wondered where all the great domain names went, look no further than NetShops! They have very keyword centric domains and products that are now available to us for promotion! If you ever struggled on what type of banner ad to put on your site… give up and sign up now! They have it covered!

In total, I counted more than 100 niche focused websites like:

BarStools, Tikibars, ToyBoxes, OfficeFurniture, DiaperBags, RockingChairs - Just add a .com to the end of these and you can see how powerful this is! There is something for literally, everyone!

If you have not signed up to be a PepperJam Publisher yet - you’re missing out!

I wonder if there is a plugin yet? I know they have a datafeed!!

Edit: Found the plugin buts its commercial - time to search a bit longer!

I’m trying to think of a way to incorporate several of these in one site. I guess you could have BANS installed in a folder under your blog and have a category for each of those stores. The only thing is, all you have to display is a banner. No actual products.

If you just used WP without a BANS site tied to it, I can’t think of a way to have a section for “Shopping” and have several stores categorized in that section. Any thoughts?

    Mark,

I’ve been working with Netshops for almost a year and I’ve had no problems.

I was a little worried about this because I am still waiting on a two month old ebay application and I’m not thinking adding Netshops is going to speed things up any.

I have as yet NOT been impressed with Pepperjam at all.

    I hope this changes.

    @ Jeff Jones -

Man, if you are not happy with PJ, you should get in touch with your account manager. I have had nothing but good luck with them on the communication and tracking side… now if I just send more visitors! LOL

I found one plugin online, I dont mind the $59 price for it, but I HATE using IonCube to load a site. I am too much of a tweak-freak and like to make changes to my sites, templates etc, and with ioncube, it scrambles the code and you can do very little.

@ JeffLeft - they do have a datafeed as well… so you could create a product post/page, and just feed it with the store content. I am unsure of how to at this point, but I know my wife Kim has used Netshops to create a feed driven store.

Even more opportunity. I wish I had the time to take advantage of everything that’s coming on to the market. My Google Alerts are going crazy at the moment. My main focus is converting existing stores so that they have a wordpress front end. This really gives massive flexibility and extra monetization potential. Exciting times.

I just saw Soggy’s post over at the forum and didn’t even realize PJ was at PopShops. So if they add Netshops there, then you could use the PopShops setup..

So can you sign up for the affiliate at netshops.com and PJ will cover all those? Or would you have to do them individually at PN?

  6. Mark on October 1st, 2008 12:51 pm

    @ Jeffleft -

Good point!! Popshops may have it all now!!

From what I see in PJN, you have to sign up for the stores individually, versus hitting the enroll and getting ALL netshops in one click.

@mark Just got an email response from PJ that again said sorry for the delay but my ebay application could still not be expedited. Since the site I wanted to set up when I first contacted them is already up and running I don’t care that much. I just think it’s ridiculous how long it’s taking.

Maybe they’ll have it done when I launch my next site. LOL

    @ Jeff Jones -

I think eBay itself has required they approve ALL applicants because of everyone leaving ePN and joining through PJN.

If you apply to ePN today - expect to wait 30+ days also!!

    @mark

I guess it’s just been too long since I originally applied to CJ when I first joined ebay and I’ve been spoiled-LOL

I got another email from Jennifer and PJ and she’s quite the professional. In fact, she’s short tracking my Netshops application since I’m already a partner.

Per Soggy at the BANS forum

“I just talked to Mellissa (Pepperjam) and Sara (Netshops) on the phone. The datafeeds you will get from Pepperjam are in the process as is the process to get them added to Popshops as well. Sara promised to keep in touch with me on it.”

I have been with PepperJam for a while now, but have yet to even really look at it yet. But, I am just getting serious into MMO and will take a second look at this.

BTW, I subscribed and have been checking you out the last few days. Should see me around these parts more often.

    @ Freddie -

Welcome in my friend! MMO is alays a finicky world for sure… seems like the focus changes on a monthly basis! :-)

Thanks for subscribing as well -

PJ is the only program I use were I have talked on the phone for 30 min with a rep. Though I don’t like the tracking system that could just be me. I seem to read, write and think a little different than most.
When I got the notice from PJ I couldn’t really figure out how this works. It’s just a boat load of advertisers really. I’m I wrong? I got the impression from the email that there was a way to build a page or a shop with this.

  14. Mark on October 2nd, 2008 8:32 am

    @ Bill G -

    Popshops!

With PopShops, you can build full site pages… PopShops is a system that works with PJ, but I am under the impression right now you still have to sign onto each of the programs.

    Hi Mark,

I just searched on popshops and they don’t have a single thing in what I am planning for my next store. Every time they came up with the result as “No search results”.

And this is when they are showing the combined results from Commission Junction, LinkShare, Google Affiliate Network, ShareASale, LinkConnector, Pepperjam, Bridaluxe and Independent programs.

Whereas both eBay and Amazon have a whole lot of it!

Why not think in terms of Amazon aStores which can be easily integrated into the store?

Amazon is real rich as a resource. And easily integrable!

    What’s your opinion?

  16. Mark on October 2nd, 2008 9:58 am

    @ GB -

With Popshops - I have literally been able to find something for every site. That said, I am sure in some markets, there will be limitations, like with yours now.

in regard to Amazon - I have to tell you… I ran a full Amazon store on one domain for a full year. I used an associate-o-matic type software, which was very similar to BANS… I never made a thing on it!!

The Amazon cookie is only good for 24 hours - so when a user clicks over to A, if they dont buy right then and there, it may be a lost buyer.

ANYTHING is worth trying though!! If you use ALinks, there is an amazon box that will turn your words into Amazon affiliate links.

    Mark

  17. G B SINGH on October 2nd, 2008 10:28 am

By amazon box, do you mean their contextual links?

If yes, they are going to discontinue it from 14 th of October onward.

  18. G B SINGH on October 2nd, 2008 10:42 am

And do people NOT like Amazon products or what?

Their quality is good, their prices are most competitive…

  19. Alice on October 2nd, 2008 10:57 am

I don’t know what it is about Amazon’s products, but I’ve never ever made a sale of an Amazon item on any of my sites. And I know tons of people, including me, who shop there all the time! Maybe its just the way their ads look or something… turns people off?

A while back I became excited about PJ but could not find the information I needed to get it up and running - such as set up instructions or manual. If anyone can recommend some resources it would be greatly appreciated.

And second, has PJ been a financially rewarding change?

Got something to say?
