PepperJam’s Explosive Growth in the Affiliate MarketPlace
For the past week or so, I have been fighting off a summer flu… I know, it sucks! The main benefit of downtime though, is that you get to read at all your favorite places on the web! It didn’t take too long for me to notice a very common thread among many blogs…
Everyone is Talking about PepperJam!
I guess it must have been about 9-10 months ago that I first read about PepperJam over at the Shoemoneysite and truly, I didn’t think much about it at that time. I was still a fairly new reader at Jeremy’s site and didn’t know the difference between ANY of the affiliate marketing networks.
Fast forward to today… after all of us going through the fairly turbulent transition from CJ with the eBay Partner Network, we can see the need of a more personalized relationship with out affiliate networks! Like I wrote a few weeks ago… The Pepperjam Network is a welcome change for people like ourselves, who prefer a bit of personalized touch!
PepperJam Network Dramatic Growth
I don’t know how much of your time is spent reading and learning more about your trade, but for me… it’s at least 1-2 hours every day! Usually, late at night, when I am burned out on everything else, I head over to the Top 100 list at Marks 45n5.com site (Which I am now at 102, getting there!) and pick a group of 10-15 blogs in a row, and just browse/read.
This week, it seemed that many of the posts were about the growth of the PepperJam Networkand just how quickly it has gone from a startup to one of the top 5 affiliate networks in such a short time! MarketSherpa, a research firm specializing in the marketing arena, polled some of their most active affiliate partners and released a report of the Top 5 Affiliate Networks and while there is not a whole lot of information on the network yet, their reach into the market in such a short amount of time, is sure to be noticed by everyone!

Even more dramatic than the number of people like ourselves using the network, are the huge names of the advertisers that have chosen to use them as well! Of course we all know about eBay leaving CJ, then signing up with PepperJam within 30 days, but what about some of the others? A quick visit to thier blog or their featured advertisers page has a list of all the advertisers who have signed on! From eBay to Playboy… and everything in between, you can see where PepperJam is heading!
Next week, I am going to tell you all about an exciting contest I am going to run that is in part, supported by the PepperJam Network! Prizes for the contest are right up OUR alley with BANS, eBay and many of the tools we use to build our websites, so stay tuned!
Have YOU checked out The PepperJam Network yet?
Note: In more than 1 full year of being a member of a Review website, this is the first time I have accepted a request for review through the service! In total, I get roughly 1-2 emails every week from different places who feel their site or software would be of use to you, my readers. Fortunately, I have the ability to make those decisions myself and while I was compensated to write this post, it was written with no bias to the good or bad of any of the networks. I have had nothing but a great experience thus far with the PepperJam network, and writing this… was easy!

I’m anxious to get going with some PJ campaigns especially with one of my primary BANs stores.
In that note, I have a question that nobody has been able to answer for me on the BANs forums and it relates to PJ and an existing store:
I have a .com domain BANs store, that is fed through the eBay.ca auctions (I live in Toronto). I want to know how I can convert this store to a US store, getting fed from eBay.com as I’ve noticed more than 50% of my traffic comes from the states. As well as I want to apply for PJ eBay program because I am sick and tired of EPN.
Is this possible without rebuilding the entire store?
How do I switch a BANS site from epn to pepperjam? BANS only has fields for epn and clickbank.
@ Elijah and Alice -
I dont know that I would switch any current stores over to the new PJ EPN, but instead, develop a new site with the new program instead.
Adam and Kelvin have made a PJN version of the BANS software available in the updates section of BANS, but I seem to recall that they were not going to make a update to convert an existing site to the new program… thus it may a PITA. :-)

Whats with the last comment? Is this what is called a pingback/trackback? How do they work?
@ Mike -
Pingback – Trackback is exactly what it is.
The Trackback was on the other post, and tracked back to this post.
The Pingback is an automatic (set to allow in your WP options) link generated on this post, telling readers that there is more info at the location linked.
I should probably have them configured to ignore local pings/tracks, but they do offer a great way for readers to find more info.
