Im not sure if you answered these questions in another post but I will ask anyway. I have a Bans store already running and I would like to add WP.
    1. Do I need to redo my Bans folders from scratch. or can I download them using an ftp (filezilla) onto my hard drive then upload them after wiping the domain folders clean (newbie sorry lack of terms so far). Loading the WP to the domain then uploading the Bans info to the sub folder. Would this cause a headache?

    or

    2. Should I just copy and paste my content (not much) and wipe everything clean out of my domain load wp and reload Bans then copy and paste the content. Sounds safer this way (just more time consuming).

    Thanks Mark!!!!

He detailed all of that in the post about moving BANS Off the Root of the domain last week. That should answer most of your questions.

    @ John -

    Try this link: http://www.thenichestorebuilder.com/moving-bans-off-the-root-of-the-domain.htm

It can be a pain to move if you have many indexed pages… since you need to handle the 301 redirects. That is still a process n the works!

There is a redirect plugin at that post you can refer to though – it works great for me!
