So – When do we get to Build More Niche Stores?
This week, being the first real week of pushing out any Niche Stores has probably got many of the more experienced BANS users asking… So, when do I get to Build more Niche Stores? When I tried to think of the best way to help ANYONE use Build a Niche Store for Profit, the goal was to start at scratch, versus optimizing an existing store base. That is the main reason the first portion of this series was geared toward installation, upload, eBay categories etc.
As this week has progressed, everyone now has an active Build a Niche Store site as wll as a general understanding of how to get the store live in a fair amount of time. I spoke with Jamie this afternoon and he had several questions in regard to keywords and how to properly form the meta tags… I am sure many others have the same questions that are all being answered in a sort of time-release way! :-)
So where now?
Since the title of the entire series is: Build a Niche Store Empire in 12 Weeks… one would assume it takes that long to get your first 10 stores done! Yes and no! If you are like most people working during the day and getting started with this in your spare time, you cannot afford to spend 4-5 hours every day pushing out niche stores. In the table below, I will try to paint a picture of the various steps involved with building a niche empire, and hopefully it will also give you an idea of where we are going over the next few weeks.
Week 1 – BANS 1 : The process of completing these tasks during week 1 can take very long as you are learning a whole new set of practices, skills, and various things you have never even heard of!

Week 3 – BANS 3 Well, aren’t you just getting better?! 5 minutes to register a domain… not so hard NOW is it? By now, BANS 1 and BANS 2 are being indexed, and you are getting to the point of adding 1 new product page every 5-7 minutes! The longest thing you do now is research the right terms for your product pages!
-
Upload/Configure next Build a Niche Store
-
Obtain separate PID from CJ
-
Determine and input eBay Niche categories
-
Optimize MAIN page and develop 10-20 main categories
-
Add a Sitemap to your new BANS store

-
REVISIT BANS 2 for 1-2 Hours and develop 40-50 product pages based on targeted research with Wordtracker
-
Get started on BANS 4!
As you can see… this same cycle repeats itself over and over, week after week, in a very methodical fashion. By the time we get to weeks 5 & 6, you have 2-3 very thorough and highly optimized stores running, that you don’t need to visit again for another 5-6 weeks! The next time you visit these original sites… you are going to see search spider activity and have a good idea of how deep your indexing is going.
The premise is… Build them slowly, optimize them slowly, and once complete… forget about them for 3-4 weeks! This is just like building and nurturing a vegetable garden… you plant your seeds on the first week, water and fertilize them carefully… then watch them grow over several weeks or months!

Thanks for the outline of where we are going. This is excellent.
Great job Mark!
This series is excellent! Glad to be a part of it! I have some previous BANS experience, but I’m not pressing on w/o first reading the material that Mark is providing. There are a few things that he covered that I was completely unaware of, and I’m really glad I took the time to follow along and not “skip” parts just because I thought I knew what I was doing.
I’m with you, Eric. I have three stores up and running, but for my next three I’ll be doing it right from the beginning.
A great big sloppy kiss to Mark – THANK YOU!! MMMmwwwwaaaahhh!

Hi Mark,
I have been working on my store that I started for this series and
my left Nav Block is getting messed up.
I have main store pages and then I put a new store page under
the main item and they are not loading to the left because the
title is two lines. I am using the keywords for the titles of the
product.
For instance:
Main Store Page: Cars
New Created Store Page under Cars: Honda cars are fun to drive
This would carry over to two lines(example)
Honda cars are fun
to drive
How can I get the two lines to load inline with each other?
Also, is the sitemap just for Google to get your site indexed?
Other than that will it help in the ranking?
Thanks,
Phil R
Hi Mark,
Just a quick Q,
I am about to build my second site and I note your bullet point.
“Obtain separate PID from CJ”
To do this do I have to re-register or can you simply log in a request a second PID?
Cheers
Mark
What is the separate PID from CJ?
What do I need it for?
For the questions about the second (& more!) PIDs in CJ:
Log into your CJ account,
Click on the Account Tab at the top,
Then click on Web Site Settings and then click on the Add A New Web Site button.
Forgot to answer the question of why you need more than one PID.
You need a separate PID for each store you create so you can track which store is bringing in sales.
