I've been using tabs on IE and Firefox for at least a year now and can't imagine getting along without them. For those who use tabs make sure you add some type of crash recovery addon or plugin. I usually have two-three windows open, one for my stores (one that I'm working, one existing, the one I'm working on in admin mode, and an existing one in admin); one for monitoring (cj, google analyzer, my hostgator cpanel); and one for research: google, wikipedia, and all other stuff. Very convenient.
