Blimey - I'm glad I was too busy to make the transfer! I've continued to make steadily growing commissions at CJ and will hold off now until the end of May to make the change over. I've been away from internet building for a while, feeling guilty that I'd let things slip. Now I'm kinda glad! It's good to be back reading the blog, Mark.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7940','Marilla','Blimey - I\'m glad I was too busy to make the transfer!
I started with BANS in January 08. I haven't had ANY sales on my site with CJ.

I switched to BANS 3.0 and went with EPN. I got a few ACRUs and a handful of sales.

It shouldn't matter which of your sites the cookie came from, it should have converted as soon as that first purchase was completed.

Just one more example of something very wrong with eBay's tracking and reporting. We can only hope that they get it sorted out soon. :-(
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7286','Ronni','It shouldn\'t matter which of your sites the cookie came from, it should have converted as soon as that first purchase was completed. \r\n\r\nJust one more example of something very wrong with eBay\'s tracking and reporting.
i'm going to try something today, it may already be confirmed by someone else but i'm going to give it a shot..

I had posted that my girlfriend signed up through one of my sites, i think on the 21st of April. On the 22nd I had a CRU for that site. On the 24th she made a BIN and on the 25th the purchase posted on the reports and I did get the earnings for it. It's been 8 days and the CRU never turned into an ACRU. I emailed Ebay again and they replied again and said they were sorry would forward it to a higher tech...

I looked over the report again and realized something. She signed up through my BuyPrimitives.com website but i noticed that the cookie came from my TheAdvertisingSignCollector.com website. SOOO, i'm wondering if something may be going on at EPN to where the cookie needed to come from BuyPrimitives to get the ACRU. So i'm going to have her make a small purchase and make sure she gets the cookie from there and just see... Since the CRU cookie suppose to last for 30 days?? Like i said this may have already been tested but there's alot of folks that are and aren't getting ACRU's so it's worth a shot... we'll see :)
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7277','JeffLeft','i\'m going to try something today, it may already be confirmed by someone else but i\'m going to give it a shot..\r\n\r\nI had posted that my girlfriend signed up through one of my sites, i think on the 21st of April.
Hi Mark and everyone and thanks for the welcome. I may be showing my ignorance, but didn't I learn over at the BANS forum that Commission Junction is no longer an option? I have no idea what CJ even is, mind you, so bear with me as I learn the ropes here.

I just watched Mark's video on finding the catagories for the Fine Designer Shoes website. Amazing stuff, Mark, and thanks for putting up the video for us.

I have some seed money for start up, I have some time, I am looking forward to this.

Printing off my first set of "Niche Store Worksheets" and getting ready to get my first site up.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7221','Diane Sontag','Hi Mark and everyone and thanks for the welcome.
@ Neil -

Thanks for the comment and welcome to the NSB site! Overall, between the CJ tracking and EPN tracking, the month of April was actually a great month for earnings on my sites!

That being said, I have noticed a bit or erratic behavior from the tracking and any trends I have previously followed seemed to go the wayside in April. After reading MANY different boards (eBay, blogs etc) it is not a BANS issue, but an overall eBay EPN issue that is the culprit.

I just go on with the assumption that it will all be corrected and tracking right in a short time. Its not the first time eBay sales tracking has been skewed and likely not the last!

As someone right on the verge of buying BANS, this kind of information makes me want to hang on to my money!

BUT I'm seeing contradictory reports and comments (both here and on the ebay forum) - some are saying that their income has plummeted, some are saying it has stayed the same, some say they are doing well.

So, what is the difference?
Why would some be affected and not others?
Is it the BANS version that's at fault?
Is it a change in the way the links are structured through EPN?
Is it being affected by the recent Google changes?
Are there differences in the way the websites are structured?

Or is it maybe all of the above????
Reply - Quote

I noticed in my reports that around the 15th of April everything seemed to go down hill, no clicks really and Impressions stopped all together. I made earning off one site one time and thats it.

anyone else notice the same trend.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7161','Jan','I noticed in my reports that around the 15th of April everything seemed to go down hill, no clicks really and Impressions stopped all together.
I was looking at my reports and noticed in the graph that after about April 17th-ish, things really dropped off....sales and clicks.

Anyone else notice a similar trend?
Reply - Quote

I switched over to EPN on 4-2, I thought everything was going fine until I saw this forum. I had noticed that I didn't have the kind of sales as I thought I should based on the rise in clicks, but I have been in online commerce for 10 years now and every year I always saw a dramatic drop in sales at tax time, so I just figured that was the deal. Now I see the stats ya'll have posted and it makes me wonder. I just started with BANS at the first of the year, I had sales right away then they died, now they seem to be picking up again. I have only had one ACRU and I was not credited for that sign up until 30 days afterwards. A friend signed up as I talked him through over the phone so I know how long it took to get credit to show. My clicks have skyrocketed this month (atleast from my previous months). After seeing some of your stats and sales mine seem out of ratio. I would think that the ratio of clicks to sales should average about the same for all of us. For the month of April my stats are as follows

April 08 EPN
Clicks - 5831
CRU - 0
ACRU - 0
Bids - 19
Winning Bids - 10
Earnings - $17.98
EPC - .31

Mar 08 with CJ
Clicks - 23
Winning Bids - 3
CRU - 1
ACRU - 1
Earnings - $29.74
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7114','Scott','I switched over to EPN on 4-2, I thought everything was going fine until I saw this forum.
