Time to Welcome a Newborn into the House!

Most of you read that title and though… WOW – With 7 Kids, how in the world could he bring in more!? No, Kim is not Octomom, and we are not having any more children… but the month of February, gave me the opportunity to build a couple new websites, that are worthy of sharing with you!

Soft Launch of Script Critics

jd_1734_thm.jpg Script Critics, currently in the midst of a soft launch, will ultimately grow into the place for a specific subgroup of affiliate website builders to gather and learn what works and what doesn’t, in the realm of software, services, WordPress plugins, and tools that are commonly used in affiliate website building and marketing!

A Joint Venture between Myself, Rochelle from Niche Store Strategies (Nice redesign BTW), and Jeff from Senjo Marketing, we have one main goal in mind… to Provide Reviews that are not filled with BS and fluff, just to make an affiliate sale! Along with the reviews we are writing ourselves, we have already lined up several well-known bloggers to provide Guest Critic Reviews of the programs we felt they could do much better than us!

We decided to pre-launch the site with the first 30 reviews in place, so we can get a good idea of how the site will be received, as we continue to develop throughout the rest of this month in preparation for an all-out assault launch in the beginning of April 2009, as long as the site is functioning the way we intended and there are no hiccups along the way!

As the site grows its reader base, we intend to bring the members only forum into play to provide detailed learning resources as well as some other very cool things I cannot talk about yet! :-)

To get an idea of the reviews you can expect to find on the site… check out these recent posts:

  1. phpOstock Plugin Review
  2. StoreStacker Review
  3. Crowd Mountain Review

The Script Critics site uses a modded Revolution Church Theme, and along with a few other functional modifications, I have done quite a bit with the WP Review Plugin, to get a customized display which I think looks cool as hell!

iPowr Article Directory

logo.jpgThe iPowr Article Directory was my first attempt with the phpOStock Plugin and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed with the way the plugin works seamlessly with the Overstock Affiliate Program! As you navigate through the different articles, you will notice the sidebar takes on the theme of the article topic, and shows only 4 relevant ads being fed through the program.

I chose to build an article directory with it for 2 main reasons…

1 – I won this 3 year old domain in a TDNAM auction for $5!

2 – I wanted to build a site that was NOT focused on specific niche product, but instead focused on a niche market in a different way! In this case, the iPowr site is a directory of articles about ANYTHING that consumes power! From auto accessories to kitchen blenders, to hot water heaters, the possibilities are endless with the amount of content that I can not only generate myself, but also articles that people can submit to promote their own sites!

From a marketing standpoint… article marketing has great bang for the buck, as your articles are picked up and used on other websites, building all important backlinks to your own site from a wide range of different websites! If you have a niche site on ANY TYPE of product that uses power, the article directory is free to use, you just need to create a free contributor account, and submit your articles!

    Thanks Rochelle –

I was actually surprised how quick and easy it was to get started. I used Caf Content to pull the starter list of articles, but already have a bevy of articles in the draft stages, for completion.

I’ll be sure to send you a request to review a little something I’ve been working on lately.

    Keep up the great work!
