Use USFreeads to Promote Your Stores
Hello all,
Right now I am working on getting backlinks to my new niche stores by creating ads on USFreeads. If you aren’t familiar with this method of site promotion you might want to give it a try. There are a few good reasons for doing this.
First, USFreeads is constantly indexed by search engine spiders, including Google. This means your sites are likely to be quickly indexed if you use USFreeads to advertise. But even if it doesn’t your stores will still show up in auction results because ads on USFreeads also show up in search engines. How cool is that?
Second, you will gain additional exposure to your stores that could lead to sales. I’m not going to promise you will make a ton of extra commissions if you use USFreeads but many BANS users are extremely pleased with the results they have gotten by advertising there.
I’ve written instructions on how you can create ads for USFreeads (of course!). There are two methods that I describe. One will take ad viewers to a category page in your stores. The other method explains how to send ad viewers to a content page you create so they see the exact item you advertise.
You can read my instructions at How to use USFreeads to Promote Your Sites.

I’ve been considering this option of advertising to compliment my Adwords campaigns. The problem with Adwords – is that you have to maintain a high quality score for your Ads and Landing pages, otherwise, you get penalized and your minimum bid will increase.
I’ve had campaigns last anywhere from 2 months to 6 months, then for some reason the bids are jacked up to $10 the next day. Lots of other affiliate marketers have complained about this issue with adwords.
Just do a Google search for -$10 adwords bids inactive- or something like that – ever since they put a quality score on the ads and landing pages – it’s been harder to maintain an adwords account without getting screwed over by google because you advertise affiliate products.
This has only happened to my bans sites, not my white lable site or another site which refers to a landing page that isn’t an auction landing page.
We shall continue this in the PPC Pros/Cons week. USFreeAds here I come.
Sean,
I’m afraid it has been several years since I used AdWords. What you said doesn’t really make sense to me anymore. What is it about using USFreeads that would lower the quality score of your landing page?

Rochelle,
I think what he’s saying is that Adwords is often not worth the effort … and he’ll start using USFA instead. The two have nothing to do with each other. Google just sometimes gets a little “slap” happy and makes it difficult for the little guy to be successful with Adwords.

Cindy,
Thanks for the clarification. I wasn’t sure what the connection was but now I get it. I think I need to stop sitting outside with with my laptop ‘cuz this Florida sunshine is making it hard for me to comprehend things! (In other words, I’m getting hot and can’t think. Perhaps can’t write, either!)
Rochelle
Rochelle,
Thanks again for some great instructions!
I’d read the long post at the BANS forum and got the impression everybody was recommending your 1st method of linking to an individual product. While that might get you better results, it would definitely require some serious on-going maintenance. NOT!
I’m glad you explained the 2nd method of setting up a page on your own site. I hadn’t quite understood this idea when reading about it and your instructions made it all clear. It got me thinking and now I’m starting to visualize how I could list several ongoing ads on one page.
I’ll mull it over for a couple more days and then reactivate my USFA account next week and launch some ads using your method and Eric’s.
More ads = more visitors = more potential sales!
Cindy
Rochelle,
I don’t think I’ll stop using adwords – they just make it difficult for the little guy. Ever since the quality formula was introduced, the affiliate marketer gets squeezed – think they implemented it to stop the adsense arbitrage, which i do not do. But the affiliate marketer gets hit with the penalty.
Anyway, I’m heading to Florida in a few weeks. My bro lives in Orlando, but this time we’re hitting the theme parks – Busch Gardens and some other stuff.
And I can’t wait for that sunshine. It has been a cold winter here in Michigan. Send us some of the hot sun.
Thanks for the tip Rochelle. I am already reading your article on USFreeAds.
Sometimes we hear so many things that somethings get set aside. I have heard about USFreeAds for a long time but always had other things on the go.
I usually take the weekends off but today it’s pretty messy out so I am staying in. My opportunity to check out USFreeAds.
