We have a Friend in a Crisis and it’s Not eBays Fault!

If you have been around BANS or this blog for any period of time, you have all come to know Rochelle, aka NeezNoodle in the BANS forums. Rochelle is also the person responsible for Niche Store Strategies and if you have visited her site in the past 2 days, you already know the crisis!

For myself, Rochelle has been a great friend and supporter of the BANS movement in that she has taken all of the rambling posts on this site and several others, and converted them into actual legible text and pictures on how to get things done with Build a Niche Store! I have never seen a step by step done better…

If you don’t know what is going on, hurricane Kay came through her town this week and flooded her home. She and her family (and cats) have been forced out of their home after a frantic hour of trying to decide what they wanted to keep the most from their lifetime keepsakes. That’s right, they had one hour to vacate the house before the flood waters got too high in her home.

Anyhow… I just wanted to mention this because I know her short term future is going to be rough. I saw a post on her site and the OP had a great suggestion that as a community, we might want to choose this time to drop a small tip into Rochelle’s tip jar. I’m sure she could use it right now.

If you prefer not to tip, just shoot on over and offer her some words of encouragement, I’m sure she can use a lift right now just as much as a tip.

Thanks for sharing Mark. I know living in FL is sometimes difficult this time of year. Even if you think you have everything prepared, things are sometimes beyond out control. Sounds like Rochelle will be displaced for a while due to the condition of her house. Imagine being pulled away from your computer and source of income for awhile. I would encourage others to visit her site and catch up on the latest. Rochelle has been a beneficial contributor to this blog and the BANS forum, and if you have gotten anything from this blog, the forum, or her blog I would challenge you help out if you can. Even an encouraging note goes a long way… and prayer too!

I also enjoy Rochelle’s blog very much and have taken lots from it.

I made a point today to send a short note along with a donation. I would encourage anyone else who has learned from her teachings to do the same!

I am speechless! I am sincerely touched by Mark, the BANS community, and everyone who has offered me support and encouragement, and now donations. I’ve just finished showering (the stuff we are touching is literally toxic with sewage contamination) after the third day of backbreaking work and checked in to Mark’s blog to see this.

There have been several tips dropped into my tip jar, and I will certainly put it to good use. I recently started a new job and will not be able to work for who knows how many weeks because of this. All I can say is, “Thank you” from the bottom of my heart.
