Will You Be My Friend?
In my latest attempt to kick off my own social marketing efforts, I have created a new Niche Site Builder Fan Page on facebook! I had made a poor attempt at this a few weeks ago and went about it all wrong – sorry to anyone who already followed along.
On the new fan page, I hope to turn it into a second place for everyone interested in building and marketing their websites, to come and network! There is a forum, and I am also working on a way to allow several of us with blogs, to mashup our feeds into one, and push it all into that single facebook fan page!
I bought an eBook… that really walked through some super-simple methods of getting the most out of Facebook, Twitter, and several other social networks. I will share my review of the book in a few days once I see how the short term results flow in.
From what I can see already – it is priceless!

I have been doing my part to "Build the Internet" since 1994, when I built my first website! Since then, I have built hundreds of niche websites for myself and many others, focused on design, applications, ecommerce, search optimization and internet marketing.
I’m looking forward to hearing more about this Mark! Frankly, I’ve been confused about how to use Facebook since I already have blogs… wouldn’t it just be duplicate info? I really don’t know anything about using Facebook, so am anxious to learn more.

Updating a facebook page is the biggest pain but it has to be done for it to work.
Just joined your fan club :-) I have been using FB for a while, but not sure how effectively, so will be interested to see how this works for you.

Going through this eBook myself at the moment thanks to you and giving the strategies a go. I’ve not used social marketing to this extent yet so it will be interesting to give it a ‘proper go’ rather than a half hearted one.

@Ben – Same here Ben! I have had a BLAST using twitter for the past few days… I added a weather related post to a local site I work on today, since we are getting hitting record lows, tweeted it to 3 local weathermen and the local news stations. It resulted in a news station talking about it on the 5:30 news, a perm link from their site and more hundreds of retweets!
Still to be determined what kind of long term value it had – but short term was stellar!
I just jumped into your Affiliate Wizard FB page also! “First!” LOL
