WordPress Update to 2.9 – Check Your Plugins

19 December 2009 One Comment - Are You Next?

WordPress released a new version this morning – Version 2.9, named Carmen.

After running an auto upgrade on several of my sites, I noticed WordPress 2.9 Hanging in the post or page editor. It actually took me quite a while to chase down the issue since I am relaunching with a new setup within just days, and didn’t know if it was my work or the new update.

It turns out to be the YARPP (Yet Another Related Post Plugin) plugin for WordPress that causes the hangup, and you need to update the plugin.

Head over to the plugin update notices at Twitter and install it if your WordPress 2.9 is hanging! Incidentally, I could not find the update at WordPress at the time of this post and Twitter was the only place I found it!
