A link to a great interview with Will Martin-Gill popped into my Twitter feed today – what is most weird about it is that I rarely use Twitter… and just happened to be logged in for a few minutes! Call is Karma I guess… not sure. The video below does not get deep into the changes we will hear about before the end of the week… but at least you can put a face to the change.

For those who dont follow along at the ePN message boards, Will is one of the administrators of the eBay partner network, and during the last year or more, he has been very open with affiliates on the message boards.

Who Moved Your Cheese?

The book is actually called “Who moved My Cheese” and as I have blogged about it several times over the years.. its about adapting to change, and what happens when you don’t. In a nutshell… two mice, Hem and Haw, expected to find their food in the same place every day, well some one moved it. One of the mice continues to do exactly what he did for years going to the same spot and refusing to look further, and he dies. The other, recognizing there was no use to complain about it – he figured out someone moved the cheese and went looking for ways to find it again!

Sure the change was hard to swallow… but it wasn’t long before he realize he now had MORE CHEESE to himself! :-)

So – Why am I saying this? Word has it… some stuff is about to change at ePN!

As an affiliate who earns some nice bank through the ePN program, we have 2 choices… we can fight the losing battle, or we can adapt and roll, even GRASP the changes and prosper even further!

The moral of this story – Lets keep an open mind and find all the ways we can make MORE MONEY with the eBay Partner Network!

    Ondele, ondele, arriba arriba (I feel like Speedy Gonzales). More to come on this, I am sure (in fact, it just hit the epn blog). Hopefully, it’s not a mouse trap.

    I have a shopping comparison portal (as mentioned, but don’t think it’s a new wave- think that ebay is making their feeds easier for publishers to integrate them into these portals). But customizing some things were cumbersome and using ppc was a losing battle. I make more on adsense than commissions at OutletsCenter.com – integrated those feeds into some of my other sites, but the long url’s look spammy in the search engines and end up in the supplementals, unless you can customize a set of core pages.

    Regardless, integrating Ostock, Reviewazon and phpbay into a blog will give you the shopping comparison model.

    My comissions didn’t change when they changed payouts last time, wonder what will happen this time. We would all like more money for the efforts and hard work – would be great. Be sure to attend a epn webinar.

    I’ll share a shopping/price comparison tool. It’s free, but it’s fourth click. Datafeedfile dot com. Just wish they had more product sku’s available because it would be that much better. They just released a WP plugin.
